Civilization 7 is a game that, after playing through the first of its three distinct eras, is shaping up to be very good, but the fact that it’s introducing a huge number of major tweaks and reinterpretations that—in both small ways and big—provide a brand-new way to play Civ means that it asks of its veteran players to enter with an open mind. As a Civ V fan, why do we all accept that we will rarely build wonders like Great Library on higher difficulties? Or almost never be able to be the first to secure a religion? Be the first to become a military powerhouse? It seems silly to me to have a game with amazing routes/strategies/mechanics if you can’t make use of them on higher difficulties. The ancient and classical era are basically spent trying to “catch up” instead of playing the game with all its features.
This is true if you’re not counting civ 4
thats concerning.
