When we talk about the least successful video game consoles of all time, the Xbox One is not really in that conversation, selling a respectable 58 million units. But as the years have gone on since that console’s life cycle, it’s clear some of the events that took place have left a lasting scar on the Xbox brand as a whole. In 2023 head of Xbox, Phil Spencer said the Xbox One generation was the worst console generation to lose. In today’s video I want to take a look back at the Xbox One to figure out what exactly happened, and what would lead to such a brutally honest quote from Phil Spencer.

And seeing how complacent Sony is with the PS5 Pro… maybe COD should’ve gone exclusive too, to give Xbox at least something.
XBOX ONE ORGINAL PLANS BACKFIRED BADLY PROVED AT THE END OF THE DAY ITS WE THE CONSUMERS WHO DECIDE THIS ' HAVE ALL THE POWER '
NEVER FORGET IT!
As for Xbox - it's unofficially dead. When was the last exclusive for Xbox released?
XBOX One S, PS5 and so on not being able to emulate older games, especially predecessors is infurating. It is lousy hardware engineering because the PS2 and early PS3s could do it NATIVELY. That is one of the reasons why I would prefer PCs, of course you need to live under the hell of Windows but you get so much benefits and even fix issues in the games by yourself.
Then Dreamcast and Series S/X practically had to give stuff away for free to try and keep things afloat.
Also Game Pass is a cancer that's killing the Xbox brand.
I will not buy a game on the Xbox that's been a day one Gamepass release. I rather sail the high seas than support this cancer.
While I do want more competition in the console space, I want game pass to fail more.
