1. Where are Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis, and Jeffrey Jones' characters?
I know the reasons why the actors aren't there: Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis are clearly older when they shouldn't be aging with being dead and all. Jeffrey Jones'... Just Google him if you're curious, but I get that's why they clearly killed him off. But even then, the story is about the afterlife, so his character should still be around.
2. Why are they depicting Beetlejuice as having a thing for Lydia in this movie?
First, she was underaged in the first movie, so... again, Google up Jeffrey Jones.
Second, that wasn't the reason why Beetlejuice wanted to marry her in the first movie; he needed to marry her, so he could stay in the world of the living without being bound by the "saying his name 3 times" thing.
Lydia just happened to be the only capable person willing to agree to it, because she was in a panicked state of desperation, not having time to consider her decision, because Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis' literal souls were going to be inadvertently obliterated by Otho at any moment.
It had nothing to do with love or even lust. In a way, you can say it was all politics when you add in the bureaucracy angle of the afterlife.
Again, I'm keeping an open mind. I'm confident that they'll explain these things in the movie proper, even if it's just in passing with throwaway lip service.
I'm just a curious blow hard who felt the need to bring them up. 😂
I'm sorry I misspoke, what I meant to say was I'm excited to see how they destroyed this one, just like they've destroyed all of the other remakes.
Deadpool and Wolverine
Wolfs
Beetlejuice
I’m loving it!
