The official playmat for this game is pricey (around 30 dollars) but it looks amazing.

I got this two days ago and I absolutely love it. I can't imagine playing Splendor again and I love Splendor but this game starts out in 6th gear and doesn't slow down. Everything about this game is top notch. 9/10.

That artwork though.... whoa. Gorgeous! And the coins. I was already sold on getting this game, now I know that's not in error. It looks beautiful. Originally this was going to be a re-skin though wasn't it? Love Splendor so yes... no brainer. Thanks again guys!

I'm amazed you managed to fill a 9min vid on this very easy to grasp and quick to play game :D. It replaced Splendor for me, too bad it won't fit sleeved games so the insert will need to get tossed.

Splendor is one of the first games I got into when I started board gaming. I taught many a fledgling gamer the joy of modern board games with it. I'm excited about this one but, like Ethnos, I wish they could have found a better theme. Great review.
