i do this with a spreadsheet on my phone and it's much more convenient, you don't have to bring a journal around with you. just make a spreadsheet with a section for each type of exercise and also a sub-section for the reps, sets, side notes, etc. you can customize it as much as you want and it's free, and it's something to do on your phone instead of scroll mindlessly between sets.

Yessir I have always advised people to keep a written journal to track their workouts! I even advise people that I teach in Jiu-Jitsu to keep a journal of each training session! that information can be priceless!😄💪👍
