The SEGA Dreamcast was the very first fully fledged console to grant Web access along with Online Multiplayer. The Dreamcast was also Windows CE compatible. Being British, it's a Zed, not a Zee. You also did the date backwards 🙄 , The Xbox 360 is the best console (S Model Specifically) she won't be beat. Your so-called jokes are a joke.

My whole childhood and teenage was spent with 360. No one was there and whoever was there was because I owned 360. People started coming to hang out with me because they wanted to play. Thank u xbox. Love my series S.

I didn't think the OG XBOX would've caught on, until the first 2 months, then I realized that this was going to be different. Ever since January 2002, I've been Team XBOX first.

I'm fortunate enough to have played most of the consoles during the 2000s, but Xbox and Xbox 360 - Even with the RROD - Hold a special place in my heart. There was truly something special about that time, and it wasn't just the games. I own a Series X (along with PS5), and the future of Xbox points to a shift to being primarily a third party publisher with less focus on bespoke hardware. However, a lot of people need to acknowledge the gaming landscape would be a very, very different place had Microsoft not introduced the original Xbox, when it did in 2001. Competition keeps everybody in check and drives innovation like cross-play, cross-saves, etc.

Kinect is mentioned, but no mention that it was unpopular. No mention, also, of the fiasco of the 360's red ring or of the outrage among gamers of the always-online requirement that had to be cancelled. Particularly notable by its absence here is Phil Spencer's admission that Xbox has lost the console war. These are significant facts in the story of Xbox, yet are missing in this history of it.

This wrap up was cool, i just wished they didn't just skip over the complete doom snd gloom era of thr original Xbox One that eventually led to the place we are now. You cant appreciate the peaks without acknowledging the bad stuff.
