The year 2024 left K-pop idol Lee Hyein, in a word, confused. In just months, she and her bandmates in NewJeans went from being one of the industry’s biggest-selling acts to a group of renegade artists in a controversial dispute with the label they abruptly left.

Standing up for what is right has always been important to me. I don't want my rights to be violated even in the smallest of cases, even if that person is in a higher position. What is your right is your right forever, even if it is small. I always felt that in K-pop, individuality is ignored, and there are always standards that must be maintained under all circumstances. I'm glad that finally, a group is standing up for their rights against one of the biggest Koop empires.
Literally revolutionary.
Fighting..! Please express all your thoughts and feelings. I listen. I request all the netizens to give them the opportunity to speak. It is actually very hard for girl group idols to speak up. I hope fellow netizens do understand that girl groups members get easily bullied and cancelled. If you guys feel that NewJeans claims affected other kpop groups, please remember that Newjeans also suffered. Sometime it is difficult to prove everything in the court. Lets leave their contract validity to court and let them handle their private matters.
why were they there in the first place when so many problems existed (which they have failed to explain properly for months) and how come these problems suddenly arise only after mhj was rightly removed and somehow not from the very start? isn't mhj an essential very connected part of the kpop industry that has this structural problem? so why do they insist calling themselves a 6 membered group including mhj that was recently also fined for workplace harassment?
Shoutout to these girls for standing up for themselves

Analyzing statements… 🤖
Hanni’s Allegations:
• Workplace Harassment: Hanni testified before South Korea’s National Assembly about experiencing workplace harassment and bullying within ADOR. She highlighted disrespect from higher-ups, being ignored, and feeling unprotected.
• Mistreatment Claims: She further alleged that both the group and their staff faced mistreatment, including deliberate miscommunications and manipulation.
Contradictions & Legal Findings:
• Lack of Evidence: Despite the serious nature of these allegations, the Seoul Central District Court found that NewJeans failed to provide substantial evidence to support claims of significant negligence or mistreatment by ADOR. Consequently, the court upheld the validity of their exclusive contracts.
• Continued Contractual Obligations: Following the court’s decision, an injunction was issued preventing NewJeans from engaging in independent activities without ADOR’s approval, reinforcing the binding nature of their existing contracts.
Conclusion: Allegations of mistreatment and harassment lack corroborating evidence. Legal proceedings confirm the validity of existing contracts. Outcome probability: unfavorable for NewJeans. Fans, please update emotional software to version: Reality 2.0.
Korean media were literally on their side when the MHJ their beloved CEO dragged the "other teams" to the mud 😂, now they're playing victim just bcs the rulling saw that there was no evidence supporting their baseless claim.
That damned feelings, emotional winnings…😤 TIME, why don’t you conduct verifiable interview with Newjeans? You are lending your platform for them to be lost in their emotions.
ALL 11 argument points which newjeans summited to the SK court were not considered mistreatment, workplace harassment and an attempt to "undermine their careers".
Adore responded with firmly stated evidences and won the injunction!
Newjeans can cancel their contract and leave Adore by the court and pay the penalty. Just follow the legal procedures!
It seems like newjeans are shifting their blaming target to a broader attention/concept after losing their case at the court; >>>they have decided to disrespect and add defamation to the country and industry where brought them fame and wealth within few years in their careers by investing money, infrastructure and time on them. Newjeans were treated and rewarded from one of the best South Korean entertainment companies with top tier facilities and services to become as big as they are now. The newjeans were considered as one of privilege idol groups in industry.
There is no such thing as a perfect industry! Nevertheless, Kpop industry has been evolving and improving in short amount of time. In fact, Kpop business involves selling values with human relationships so it’s complicated to balance the marketing.
Just look at Jpop industry as an example; they have been around for over 40 years but fundamental construction and system of the industry hasn’t changed much.
Newjeans are now pointing finger to the whole industry and condemning South Korean cultural values?!? They should reveal evidences of what Koreans and industry have done evils or any misdemeanors.
PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH TIME. SHAME ON YOU. SO MUCH FOR JOURNALISTIC INTEGRITY. This feels more like a tmz video than a time video, wow.
NewJeans are now framing public rejection of their baseless claims as some inherent flaw in Korean society. Since the country isn't siding with them anymore, suddenly the country itself must be at fault.
these brats been crying wolf all this time. stop biting the hand that feeds you…but then again thats what your idol & mentor MHJ taught you. you were treated like princesses in hybe and got the boost to popularity riding the reputation as "bts' younger sisters" but your traitor mentor wanted to destroy bts and hybe and take the company for herself before bts returned from military service. in fact its mhj who has been feeling k-media. hybe has always been the underdog in k-media thats why they established bts via youtube and eventually weverse because k-media has always been bias towards the formerly big 3 companies. now you're playing victim after you smeared le serrafim, illit & bts. take several seats kiddos, time to grow up!
they are against "the morals of hybe" but want the morals of min heejin lol!!! no one is believing these brats anymore because every time they speak, they are proven to be spoilt, entitled divas. their ceo groomed their entitled mentality. they had every opportunity to prove their case but they keep failing cuz they are inconsistent and lying.
Since the court rejected the ignore and plagiarism case, new jeans should apologise
Thanks time you really show me that the news is only greater when the drama is greater.
Invested 21 billion KRW to debut, living in a villa by the Han River, promoted as the "little sister" of a big group—enjoying countless privileges from the start. You can’t even compose music so on what basis is there a demand for creative freedom? If that’s the case, why not become a singer-songwriter instead?
On top of that, lying and affecting another group, causing a manager born in 2001 to quit and even require psychological treatment. Meanwhile you're having fun and enjoying life as if nothing happened. You're already all grown up, why still so clueless about the real world?
Sending my love to all these girls! They're so young to have to go through all of this, and have such an overbearing and abusive power pushing down against their freedom and success. They deserve so much better, and all of these comments saying otherwise are abhorrent. Cheering on NJZ everything will get better soon!
New Jeans’ last performance was in Hong Kong last weekend before announcing their hiatus until legal issues are resolved. The song PIT STOP and their wardrobes during its live performance seem to be defianced to Ador to force them to take the stage as New Jeans.
NewJeans made a bold statement with their live debut of "Pit Stop" at ComplexCon Hong Kong 2025 on the weekend. At the end of their set, New Jeans addressed the audience with an emotional statement, announcing a temporary pause in their activities out of respect for the court's decision. They emphasized their commitment to standing up for their values and promised to return stronger. Here's a deeper look into the performance and its broader implications:
1/ The Performance
– Song and Theme: "Pit Stop" is a high-energy track that seems to reflect the group's current struggles and determination to regroup and come back stronger. The title itself suggests a pause to refuel and strategize, aligning with their announced hiatus.
– Wardrobe and Imagery: Departing from their earlier "girl-next-door" image, New Jeans embraced bold, edgy outfits that projected defiance and individuality. This visual shift reinforced their message of independence and resilience.
– Audience Reaction: Fans were electrified by the performance, interpreting it as a powerful statement against their ongoing legal battle with ADOR/HYBE. The song's debut was met with both excitement and emotional support from their global fanbase.
2. Broader Implications
1/ Artistic Evolution: The performance marked a significant shift in New Jeans'sartistic direction, showcasing their willingness to experiment and redefine their identity.
2/ Message to ADOR/HYBE: By debuting live "Pit Stop," New Jeans demonstrated their resolve to continue their journey on their own terms, despite the court's ruling.
3/ Fan Support: The performance further solidified the bond between New Jeans and their fans, who have rallied behind the group during this challenging time.
Was any journalism conducted here or were they given a platform to say whatever they wanted? Pls do your due diligence. This is misleading. They were the ones that unilaterally “terminated” their contract. They were the ones that haven’t respected the court or the legal process and quickly formed a new “name”, etc and even when they were told to stop other activities, they have been unwilling to come to the table with ADOR to work things out civilly. This is not how adults act
I'd have no problem with HYBE saying "we won't fund your production, MVs, marketing campaigns", but let them do what they want. They are people. They are musicians
You’re journalist. Do your job. Analyze and search for the evidence first.
To the girls, this is not the way do to this. If you’re againts SM Ent, your ENTIRE CAREER in Korea would be over. You would get banned for years. ADOR is actually being nice to these girls.
Now youre ignoring court rules, announcing hiatus, adopting a new name WITHOUT ADOR’s APPROVAL. Girls, please.
They blame Korean society and courts, as if in America you can break a contract if someone doesn't bow to you.
4 minutes 30 seconds on New Jeans side of the story, 24 seconds on Ador. No follow up on the court result or Hybe's point of view. Easy click bait money cha ching.
