these editors tho, at least the one i tried. it seems you need a code for every level rather hten just browsing them. or im just doing it wrong. id love worlds in these editors.

also, I'm shocked you didn't mention SMBX/SMBX2. they aren't as user friendly, but still worth the mention in my opinion

My personal favorite is Super Mario Bros. X, (I think you didn't mentioned it), you can make your own graphics, add custom music, code using Lua, (well, power is unlimited)

Someone that knows about them ! Anyway, you should try out Mario maker 3, 4 and 5 on turbowarp/scratch, they're amazing. There's also Mario maker for PC and mobile, it's also a great fangame with new things, like giving attributes to ennemies (like having extra health, making it float, etc...)

I already knew about all of these. I'm still waiting for Mario Maker 3. There is one level editor that you should do a all separate video for and it's smbx2.

This is not a Mario game, but i would definitely recommend it to anybody who likes Mario Maker and Pizza Tower.

Another Fixed Objects Mod or C.A.T.W.E.B.S is an extremely expansive and easy to learn Pizza Tower level editor mod that allows you to use every official asset, as well as some unused and even unofficial assets too, not to mention the endless possibilities with the fact you can make custom sprites, and the included coding blocks, you can basically make full fledged fangames in the mod.

So if you have Pizza Tower and love Mario Maker, I’d definitely recommend.

Can I also suggest Boll Deluxe’s level editor? That game is really good and is a Mario/Sonic fangame. You can make levels designed around either using mario objects

for those wondering about the SMF/MM one, both the mod is in closed beta but the public server is completely gone, meaning as of now, its impossible to get the game in the intended way

With some more recent updates to SM127, I now periodically gravitate towards it when I'm in the mood to make a B3313 level translation.
