Cycle of the moon was first GBA game that I bought on the UK launch. I eventually got to that goat bondage boss and gave up as I was getting frustrated with the Dark GBA screen. I eventually continued when I got the SP and Gameboy player in 2003 but got stuck with the final.boss and still haven't defeated him today but have been trying on and off the past 20 years.

Wouldn’t say FF tactics advance is hard but I thought Golden Sun 2 would of been mentioned just for the fact how open the game is and how easily you can miss things making steep levelling curves.

FFTA is very easy if you know what you are doing. Just grind levels, and skills for every job. I beat this game in 60 hours, even Shin Megami Tensei is much harder than this

I remember metal slug advance. I was on a school trip, went into a game store and bought it, at the end of the night the girl i had a crush told me she liked me too so metal slug advance holds a special place in my heart.

Megaman Xero 2 is hard on the plataforms. Some junping sections are harder than most bosses.

And about Metroid Fusion, yes it's the hardest. But I think is also the best 2d Metroid game.

MOJOPLAYS, YOU IDIOTS! THE FIRST MEGA MAN ZERO GAME WAS MUCH MORE HARDER THAN THE SEQUEL! Also, fuck Castlevania Circle of the Moon as it's easily the worst Metroidvania game of the franchise as Koji Igarashi was not involved much to his dismay.

I got Castlevania: Circle of the Moon with my Glacier White GBA the day it came out, and it took me almost half that summer, just before I started middle school, to beat Dracula's final form. That bastard absolutely refused to go down lol

The only hard game on this list was Mega Man Zero 2, and I'd argue the other games in the series were harder.

FFTA and Fire Emblem 7 are on this list and i'm happy about that. Why? Bc i played both of those games and those were my first introduction to both the Fire Emblem & Final Fantasy franchises.

If you consider Blazing blade to be a hard fire emblem, try the japan only Binding blade. I found that one way more difficult

I have beaten Fire Emblem but, just so you know, I cheated. Two things, though: one, you forgot to mention Eliwood and, two, Awakening is pretty easy with Casual Mode and the ability to grind to your heart's content.
