Xbox is ready to enter into the next generation of consoles? New rumors and talks from insiders are pointing to Xbox staggering the console generation by starting a couple of years before PlayStation 6

The Xbox console generation is entering into its fifth year and with most of their biggest games on the way and a couple massive titles waiting for next generation It looks like Xbox may start the new console generation as early as 2026.

The news comes from X (formerly Twitter) account TheGhostOfHope, who has a history of posting primarily Call of Duty leaks. According to Hope, he says that he’s heard the next Xbox console “is still coming in 2026 and will be called Xbox Prime.”

I own both PS5 and Xbox. Love my PS5, but its anti consumer practices make Xbox the all around, hands down better console. Especially if you also play on PC. Seing Xbox’s future roadmap, I’m confident there’s a bright future ahead.

I will not be buying another Xbox console. This generation, the Series X was waisted. They hardly published games that really showed off the Series X power.

All they did was brag and boast about this raw power the Series X had. WHAT POWER AND WHERE ARE THOSE PROMISED GAMES?????

Now as someone else is saying? They are trying to sell raw power BEFORE the console is released and no games (at least have demos of the games in development) to back up their talk.

I’m happy with my PS5 PRO and PSVR2. While Micro and Xbox are barking the loudest begging for attention? I feel like SONY and the next PlayStation are staying quiet.

If I buy another next gen console? It will be the PS6.

If it runs windows os and capable of running steam, could we run PC VR on this device? Could we finally run modded Skyrim to the extent as PC? And most importantly, can we run 3d modeling and game development software? I'm excited for the future of Xbox console PC hybrid.

A couple years ago Valve tried to come out with a Steam console and the market just wasn’t ready for it, I think now could be a great time for Xbox to try something like that, and console/pc hybrid, especially if it allows smart sharing on the Xbox store and maybe have a dedicated OS to allow your Steam games, if Microsoft wants to go the route of focusing more on their games being everywhere

Gotta be honest the fact that My series X barely has any games specifically built for it going on 5 years into it, why would I buy a new console next year? Thyre gonna sell me on power and blah blah blah, meanwhile nobody will make games to actually use the hardware.

well I'm excited for a new Xbox console, I can't believe I said that. but if Microsoft is merging both PC and Xbox into one library, I guess that means I'll have the chance to play games like Sonic 3D blast, or Command and Conquer Red Alert 2, Command and Conquer Generals, KOTOR, KOTOR II, or even Star Trek Armada.

I will only go back to console gaming if that console offers free online multiplayer. If we are already paying the internet bill, that should be enough. The fact that we are paywalled into another online feature is dumb. That is the main reason I switched to PC.

I’ve had an XBox X for about 2 years, and a PS5 for approaching 18 months. Disappointed with both tbh. I had games on the ZX Spectrum that kept me entertained longer. Couldn’t care less how good the graphics are if the game itself lacks any depth.

This is the only chance XBOX has now. I've telling this since xbox showed no interest in exclusives and said it will end. Sony and Nintendo will never give up on them , Microsoft did all it could to end this because they could not compete in games. Now MS is forcing it making a PC consolized. Sony chances will be in cancel its games to PC, if not, Sony will not have a chance without exclusives and high priced games. Whoever said XBOX can't compete with PC with a high price is totally wrong. It will be a lot better to have a dedicated PC to play than an normal PC, and it won't be underpowered, as even today most PC are underpowered compared to consoles. Even with more power PC has too much power loss and bad optimization.
