The Xbox Next

I got back into PC Gaming, I can't afford paying GamePass Ultimate. I prefer couch gaming to PC but both XBox and PlayStation are making it too expensive. I enjoy my Series X and PS5 but it's time for Steam , I was playing my Steam Deck last night on the LG OLED, It worked perfectly. I'm more excited about Steam at this point.

I decided to wait until next gen and skip this current gen console. My Xbox One X works just fine and I really can't justify getting the Series X this late in the life of the current gen. Whatever I can't play on the 1X I just play on the cloud, and when I get the next gen I'll play the current gen on that one since it'll most likely be backwards compatible.

FH5 and any other X games on PS is temporary and its only there to show the potential of X to PS owners so they can make an informed choice and maybe jump ship over to X. I for one have been loyal to Sony but they're jerks and MS are more friendly so I rather invest in a platform thats going to help me if I ever get into a hitch. Sony is only about making money while MS isn't so greedy and actually helps its customers. I am with X and if I could transfer my PS library to X I'd do it! 🙂

Being an Xbox fan, I'll more than likely buy it. However, I have been fine with the series X. The load times were the biggest for me. I used to be a much bigger gamer back in the day. Now, the games really don't do anything for me anymore. At 45 trying to play these games, I find there are too many damn button combos to use to achieve anything. I get it and am not mad, it's just too much for me sometimes. My mind isn't as sharp as it was in my 20s when playing games. Loved me some Elder Scrolls but Skyrim started to turn me off of that series. COD, played way too much, now every little setting gives you an advantage. I have no interest in watching videos on how to make it easier for me to play. I want to start the game and go head-to-head. As to what a next-gen may look like. They might as well get rid of the physical console and do an Xbox TV. I use my Xbox more for the apps than I do playing these days. However, my 75-inch TV which only cost $450 can do everything the Xbox can in that sense. Give me a 75-inch OLED Xbox TV… I'll buy it!

I’m not buying a console just because it allows me to play my games on my refrigerator. That is utterly ridiculous and useless, imo. I’ve been a diehard fan of Xbox since 360, but the decisions they’ve recently made for the platform are the absolute worst. They’re basically surrendering and slowly killing the brand, thinking no one really notices that.

If they end the exclusivity for all of their games, then my next place to play will be PlayStation 6.

Sony is petty enough where if there is Steam support on the next Xbox console/hybrid PC they will make sure to somehow block Xbox users from playing PS games

What should I do. Back in 2017 i got into the Xbox One x when i decided i didn’t want to buy more iMac I only play farming simulator. Did I ever play any one the Xbox One x no i decided i would have to learn the controller. Now i have steering wheel pedals an a farm stick my Xbox One x has been updated to a 1TB ssd an all my games from 19 ,22,25 is on disc. So do I buy a series X ? I am not interested in any of those other games other than farming simulator.

I'm a huge gamer / retro computer console collector. all the systems I've owned and still own today I believe the ecosystem for Xbox is the most trustworthy just from my own experience. Sony's constant changes licensing and ownership of games really scared me off their platform years ago. I still have all my original Xbox consoles and various versions of them put some updated with solid-state drives of course.

However, I am on my way to becoming disabled and getting on my PC play games can be difficult at times we're just going to the living room and getting on the Xbox and playing is a bit easier.

I did get a meta quest 3 and I've done some cloud gaming Xbox app and for the most part is pretty amazing even playing starfield on the quest 3.

I just wish they'd bring back the family plan for game pass Mike we used to have in the 360 days or pay the yearly fee in my entire family could interact.

Now having remote desktop practically built into medicwest 3 to connect to Windows 11 really shows at Microsoft is working with multiple platforms to bring gains and support to other devices.

I would love to see a meta quest 4 Xbox edition that connects to the new Xbox directly go through Wi-Fi so I don't have to stream through the cloud and instead play my Xbox games more directly into the quest to get the best quality and low latency of course😊.

Granted if they bundle it make it an option not forced on you like the Kinect was back in the day. Granted I loved my Kinect on both the 360 and Xbox One x platforms and still have them today. I can no longer bowl in real life any more but it's nice to still play my bowling games on Xbox connect.

They really need to work hard with the publishers more if I buy it on Xbox I should still be able to play it on PC and vice versa I have a tendency to buy games in the marketplace that way now and look for that support on purpose. Granted I still go to steam and Gog games as well to get my retro purchases for as little as a dollar at times.

On a different note it's nice to watch your channel without all the politics that are now infested in so many other gamer channels which I watch as well but still nice to get away from all the politics.

I'm working on my own retro restoration and gaming channel as well since I've been doing all this since 1978. I'm a gen-xer that still plays video games so maybe Microsoft should call the the next Xbox something like nexgen XR😂
