The "worry" comment, unfortunately no one will ever know what was actually said word for word, we can all guess, but we will never know.

I’m Romanian (white skin, brown eyes, light brown hair) living in Spain. Whenever I introduce myself to someone new and say where I’m from I hear them saying “wow! You don’t look Romanian at all!” Sometimes they add “you are SO white!”. In summer I CONSTANTLY hear people feeling sorry for me bececause I go to the beach and I don’t get “enough tan” because “oh…you are SO SO white!”. I know where that comes from (Romanian Gypsies for reference) I know that I can’t even compare myself to people of colour and the terrible racism they’ve been through for centuries and I don’t even know if I should call it “racism” in my specific case - maybe ignorance. But what I know is that it is uncomfortable, annoying and cringe. Why do people talk about someone’s skin colour?! Why is it still a thing? Why?
