The Premier League’s Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSR) will remain in place for next season.

They were set to be replaced by Squad Cost Ratio (SCR) rules in the summer but Premier League clubs agreed at a meeting in London on Thursday to stick with PSR for at least one more season.

@SuttonianBoy March 18, 2025 - 10:31 am

EPL designed to STOP ambitious clubs like Villa, Newcastle, Notts Forest who’ve no chance of going bust but still they protect failing clubs like Man United, Tottenham and possibly Man City!! Total BIAS

@Maxpefc8 March 18, 2025 - 10:31 am

It’s a joke and a new system must be introduced. But we have worked tirelessly the last 3 years to comply with PSR and now the rolling 3 year period is passing in July we are in a good place with a new stadium and have a good amount of money to spend in the summer aswell as loads of high wage earners contracts are running out this summer . We can now start fresh. And maybe if we were blatant cheats like some clubs we could sell Goodison to ourselves for 400m and be clear of PSR for years 😂

@toonarmy8524 March 18, 2025 - 10:31 am

@davidcook7743 March 18, 2025 - 10:31 am

🩵 MCFC 💙
WE LOVE R CLUB & IT'S NO SURPRISE TO US NOW THE PREMIER LEAGUE NEEDS TO APOLOGIZE IN A LIVE PRESS CONFERENCE TO THE CLUB AS A WHOLE THAT MEANS THE NAME OF R CLUB FIRST & FOREMOST THEN IT'S TO US THE PEOPLE WHO LOVE, WORK OR ASSOCIATED WITH THE CLUB WE'D LIKE AN APOLOGY TOO

@EFC1-d3i March 18, 2025 - 10:31 am

Beyond time for PSR to be scrapped. The Prem needs to adopt a salary cap (and floor). Its the only way to assure any sort of parity.

@killahreid March 18, 2025 - 10:31 am

this did not age well

@marktony9737 March 18, 2025 - 10:31 am

Instead of the PSR rule. Just call it what it is. The cartel protection rules!

@williamburdis9225 March 18, 2025 - 10:31 am

Psr or scr all do stop Newcastle. Scrap the premier league

@declanfitzgerald3136 March 18, 2025 - 10:31 am

I find it quite funny that other clubs who accused city of this that and the other now there clubs have money they're crying they can't spend it 😂

@StephenSorensen-go2oz March 18, 2025 - 10:31 am

Its the same as introducing automated offside midway through the season. That is not fair on teams already out of the FA cup. Corrupt !!!

@StephenSorensen-go2oz March 18, 2025 - 10:31 am

Typical premier league cock up. They new that new rules were needed but couldn't sort them in time. Incompetent and corrupt!!

@drwagumaeliasjb4643 March 18, 2025 - 10:31 am

How far with the man city 115 charges case..what is the final verdict?

@jamesmichaels4979 March 18, 2025 - 10:31 am

Richer clubs have less competition. Lower clubs cna justify not spending money

@adambartlett6277 March 18, 2025 - 10:31 am

Overegulation will kill the premier league I'm telling you

@dango247 March 18, 2025 - 10:31 am

Why would any club vote for it too stay . Unbelievably

@darren-lee March 18, 2025 - 10:31 am

According to the PSR, close who are close this season are Chelsea, Arsenal, Newcastle United, Nottingham Forest and now Man City. I take it, Arsenal wont get the striker they want then without selling big.

@cyrilsquirrel7573 March 18, 2025 - 10:31 am

Are mancity being relgeted due to charges yet ?

@davidjohncook5767 March 18, 2025 - 10:31 am

as usual, the corrupt EPL find ways of delaying things so that the Red Cartel can prevent ambitious clubs from closing the gap.

@RichardMason-gj9ue March 18, 2025 - 10:31 am

The park rules are shite I’m a united fan if we have voted yes to it why it’s making everyone sell their best players just let it go back to spending what u want no wonder football is poorer now than it was 20 years ago

@LGlifeisgood March 18, 2025 - 10:31 am

Of course they would want keep the status quo because it benefits them ,

@House0fHoot March 18, 2025 - 10:31 am

FFP/PSR were rushed in immediately after Newcastle United was bought. PSR/FFP were created to protect the Toxic 6 from any serious, prolonged competition from other teams (with the owner funds to compete). It’s anticompetitive & is affecting more teams now.

@BlessingsMandajames March 18, 2025 - 10:31 am

Why are they not in place for 115 charges for Manchester City 😢😢😢..?
