I don't understand letting Z walk at all. I'd love to hear a reason. We aren't going to get an edge as good as him on an expiring contract that we could afford

i think all the Low Contracts mean a Trade is comin. maybe up in the draft, but I'm hoping its for The TREY man.
at bare minimum, i want Darius Smith back. i did hear Lions have been in on Von Miller talks.
and please dont draft Jack Sawyer unless he is strictly a rotational building piece. if Martin didnt work cause he stood too straight, he might be on that same trajectory path.

As a Bears fan, if Detroit can remain dominant on the trenches for the next few years, they will pile up the wins. Great coach, offense and its good for the NFL if the Lions are winners. Bad for the Bears if they are. 😊

Detroit and brad just doesn't get it, need a pass rusher and didn't address it. Watching teams go and get them is frustrating. Detroit did nothing to get back to the NFC championship. Nothing!!!!!!

YES YOU CAN BRING IN PLAYERS AND PAY BIG MONEY! That not “what bad teams do.” Thats what teams that want to win a Super Bowl NEED to do. Philly highlighted that last season.

Only arrogant managers think their guys are “good enough” and stand more or less pat. “His guys” weren’t good enough last year, your offensive mastermind is gone and your division is much harder this season. Without a defensive splash, this team isn’t getting out of the wildcard round - if they make it there.

Signing people but no big names. They have downgraded at Dline and just replaced on the other positions. The Lions do this EVERY time. They will not go the extra step that you need. Every team around you is improving. You can't just stand pat with what you have. There is no rule into bringing in help. All the guys that they are signing are just depth players. Lopez is the defensive help? Lopez is a second stringer at best. Of course his head coach is going to speak well of him. This is in no way an upgrade. If Hutchinson gets hurt again, they will be waiting until next year AGAIN. Teams that don't pay to bring in talent, dont win.

Your missing what’s going on! All of the Lions are coming back healthy! The entire team! They actually have a better coaching staff over all now and they are plunging depth holes and replacing older players with better players! The Jet signing for D was huge and Lopez is huge and they have draft ahead plus trades coming! The Lions will actually end up about 25% better than last year and completely healthy! Start there and it’s all positive!

The one thing I praise Brad for is his "frugalness" most call him cheap but he is trying to make sure we are not in cap hell. But the trade off is that we will never have "splash" moves.He is trying to not overpay and thats hard when you see guy get the contracts from desperate teams.

Every year fans bitch about holmes. Then, later in season, they love what he picked. Our hope on edge with Hutch is davenport. Let's hope he plays the way campell thinks he can play. I want brad to be aggressive on edge. Our back-ups are good enough to be starters for another team. Hendrickson-bengals is he still available. Look what the front D-line did for philly. We get a great D-line. Arnold, Reed & Branch will be the opposing QB'S BEST RECEIVERS!!!

Free agents are bums. It’s all about drafting and developing depth. U always overpay for free agents. Trey flowers was a bad example, he was actually a good player for us in a dismal lions era

Chris, here's my beef (not with Craig or you) with Brad Holmes. The entire football world has acknowledged for 3 years that the Lions need another stud EDGE. Not necessarily a Garrett or Crosby, but someone good enough to unleash Hutch's full potential. Za'darius had a respectable season with no Hutch on the field. How much better might he have been this upcoming season with a healthy Hutch drawing the double teams? We gave up a 3rd round draft choice for Za'darius. We are NOT a better team without him! And we just let our 2nd best O lineman walk over a couple million dollars? Have we really improved by releasing Z Smith and letting Zeitler sign with Titans? Are we closer to a Super Bowl now ? How so? I hope Holmes resigns Z Smith or someone else who is his equal.

What are all these high-profile sportscasters in if any I don't think there's been very many if any teams that have been able to buy themselves a super bowl in other words by the players they need to get a super bowl most of these teams might get one or two players but they usually build from a draft a solid team then they get like a Matthew Stafford what Cooper cupp what's the max Crosby then they get one or two star players and that's what puts them over the top they don't get it by trying to buy a whole defense or offense just not enough money in a cab you can't get a billion dollar cap we're building on a 2and 15 team we've been doing better each and you know maybe this is the year we win the conference and go to the super bowl

Do you even look at the cap. 5 players raise our cap 100 million in 2026. Hutch, kirby and jamo not inc. Resigning those 3 will leave us wirh 0 cap space.

Mahogany will fill in for zeitler + we signed a couple backup dt and have a better CB1 so I think we're doing just fine. All these fans jumping ship hating on Brad It's driving me insane

Right from the start Holmes said we will build through the draft and so far he’s kept his word so why does everybody loose their minds this time of the year when time and time again he shows who he is?
And he never does what we want him to do
