I collect Barry bonds cards and I see a ton advertised as "reprint". What is going on. They are saturating the junk market with fake junk.

My advice on investing in cards, is go buy what you want already stabbed that way ypu can't get screwed. I rarely buy card packs unless they are cheap, I do get those infamous flea market grading company card and craxk them

I do it with my ten year old and we do it for fun...he gets so happy if he gets a good base card and if a card is rated at $3-$4, he pumps his fist...those crazy chase cards...not our lane...

It's why I don't get into paying $40 for a box of cards. Crazy thing is I am starting to see a rash of older cards showing up all of a sudden. I think there is a shift of older folks getting older and card collections being donated or sold off enmass. Which is fine by me since I only know players from the 80's and 90's.
Same with Comic books. i have found older books at thrift store for $1 to $2 and I don't get into the hype of paying $10 and $20 for books. I am in no rush and if I happen to be in the right place at the right time. Perfect for me.

Just for fun, I looked up topps 2024 update hangers and that mega box (10 packs/ 1 oversized)

From last week it went from 60$ can to 70$.
That mega box is as high as 200$

Do you have a reason why the price jumped so high in a few days?

I'm thinking of hitting gamestop and picking up older packs of topps at clearance if I find any.
Im going to keep a small budget 20$ to 50$ a month for packs.

Wish me luck.
I got a heads up for something is planned for the 14th this month.
It could be anything, but rumors are saying it's a financial issue, could be a big war.
But the 14th is on the calendar, it's a Friday. Perfect time to set up a new system for the following Monday.

Luckily, I mainly buy lower cards. I have done some auctions over the past few days on eBay for small cards. Literally less than 5 dollars, lol. Just be careful out there. There are also stupid digital cards they make look real. Read the descriptions on the card before you even attempt to buy it, lol. And absolutely, if it's too good to be true, it almost always is.
