I'm the biggest Fable fan there is. Its by far my favourite game series and i still play it to this day. However, i really think people should prepare to be disappointed.
Fable derives much of its quality from the writing. Quintessentially british monty python-esque charm. I just don't see the American woman (forget her name) writer doing it justice.
Everything thats been shown so far appears to be a pale imitation rather than authentic. The original trailer appeared more as simple modern"anti-fantasy" rather than the unique blend of comedy, folk lore and fantasy as the other games. And the latest trailers just seems to appear as an Americans view of British humour from modern game shows ( with the unfortunately ubiquitous marvel comedy) rather than that quintessential Monty python faulty towers style.
I just really can't see this hitting the mark

I find myself feeling concerned about the direction Fable might take if it ends up mimicking the style of The Witcher series. Fable has always held a unique charm with its whimsical world, rich storytelling, and quirky humour, elements that have defined its original format. Straying too far from these foundational aspects in an attempt to replicate the darker, more serious tone of another franchise could dilute what makes Fable special. I truly believe that preserving its distinctive gameplay mechanics and imaginative settings is essential for maintaining the essence of what fans love about the series.

New fable forcing an ugly female lead? Yeah, if their both male and female, stop showing an ugly female. Yeah. I am waiting for a review. I'm not trusted by the devs and companies after the veilguard flopped. Fable or avowed I'm reserving buying another for now.

Playground had better not screw up Fable. The original games were loved for a lot of very good reasons, and a lot of that was because of the fight mechanics. There also HAS to be a morality effect, or it isn't Fable. Hell, it won't be Fable without all the minor and sometimes annoying side quests, like delivering a letter halfway across the continent, through bandits and werewolves, only to return to hear the sender complaining that it took so long.
I would prefer to hear something from someone who was a fan of the originals, or at least had played Fable 3, so they can make accurate comparisons to what they're seeing in the gameplay. By his description, it just sounds as if Jez Gordon never played the originals and really had nothing to compare the new game to.

Why on earth did they choose Lily Nichol? Women with zero femininity should keep this to themselves, they can't impose it on the players in a game, making us disgusted by the spectacle. I can't even watch the trailer without feeling 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮. I am a woman and I can not relate to that thing.

So every woman is forced to play FABLE as a male character to avoid that thing.

Witcher 3 isn’t really known for its great combat. If this is just Witcher 3 combat with a new skin I won’t be picking this up.

Fable + Witcher sounds Amazing to me especially since it’s coming to PS5 now, cuz I’m tired of Dark Soul Style Games I just wanna have fun and not play something overly bloated or hard or that caters to everyone, and yeah woke games are awful.

calling it now, the girl in the end whose face you dont see, i wonder if thats who you will actually play as and somehow be the villain of the story. play the life of the boy/girl up to that point or something. of course its all subjective calling someone a villain. like how the last of us 2 gave us huge plot twists and hidden plot bombs that shook everything we expected.

The reference to a "giant" chicken brings back memories of the "monster" chickens mentioned in a portion of "Fable III" from 2010. This is shaping up to sound like a lot of fun.

People like that are the same morons that said God of War 4 needs to be like the first three and it was completely different and 50 times better Number one because of the major leap in gaming graphics and performance and two because that's just what happens with games they evolve so I don't want to fucking 2012 Fable game I want a 2024 Fable that obviously is in line with the storyline and everything of a fable type game but different as well...

Discussing about Avowed has been made incredibly difficult because of one guy melting down (and yeah, what a melt down, insulting people on social media is not a thing that director do), and it makes me sad because the thing i have seen this week made me really optimistic about the game....

Avowed looks amazing so excited for that!!!

Currently playing Stalker 2 and the game is amazing, quite tough. It’s like a dark souls shooter. It needs a few updates for performance/controller deadzone but the core game is great
