Souslikes are a dime a dozen in this era of gaming, yet surprises pop up here and there. The First Berserker Khazan may just be one of those pleasant surprises. The focus on a cinematic storyline and deep character development sure promises something different to Fromsoft’s more esoteric narratives.

Combat-wise, there’s a lot to be excited for. The flow is fast paced, with a strong emphasis on parries and perfect dodges. Camera doesn’t get in the way of combat either. The starting bosses are great appetizers for what the full game has in store.

There’s a demo for The First Berserker Khazan right now if you want to try it out for yourself. The game releases on March 27th for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X.

I've played the demo and I was sold the game play and the art style and graphics are beautiful I pre ordered it after I beat the demo can't wait the full game

Someone said that the deluxe edition gets weapons that you can’t get any other way with standard edition.

Is this true?

Regular version is only about £38 on amazon and deluxe is £55 in ps store, so I don’t want to buy deluxe, for weapons, if they are actually in the base game and what I heard was wrong.

I really absolutely hate this crap.

Instead of being hyped for a new amazing looking game, I’m stressing out about missing out on weapons if o order wrong version.

Just sell me the bloody game 😂😂

tried the demo, I like how this game looks and the combat mechanic is pretty cool, but for now I ain't playing just cuz I don't like just one combat mechanic where you cannot dodge while your attacking animation is ongoing, and also I wish there's a jump button cuz they added striking in the air, but doesn't have a jump mechanic makes striking in the air pretty useless, unless you're dropping down the the hill and the enemy is RIGHT below you, which never really happens besides on the tutorial lol.

I'm new to Soulslike games but after beating Black Myth Wukong I'm finally dipping my toes in the water. Tried Dark Souls and Elden Ring, and they have not really grabbed me yet, but the demo for this one has. It's damn good.

It’s the month of its release and in super hyped. I’ll also be picking up AI Limit around that time too. Make sure these devs know I’m not tired of this genre. I’m replaying Wolong to pass the time lol

I changed it to easy difficulty and it feels perfect. Feels like a normal difficulty for most games and plenty challenging. Cannot wait for the release

Stoooooop with "the souls like" BS!!! It's not like Souls. It is own game. Has an easy mode (Thank God) cuz I can't be sitting for hours when I have a job trying to get through the first level. The art style is completely different. It is own game why can't people just accept that?! It's a beautiful game on its own. I hated Souls. I can't stand a game when movement of a character is moving in slow motion aka SOULS!

Played it.. it was okay.
It sure does "improve" upon Dark Souls combat with some Bloodborne/Sekiro ideas (same company) without really adding much of their own. Not to mention the bothersome God of War equip system.
Oh, and not being able to "light the bonfire" without using it.. or its disgustingly LONG load time when activated, was just too annoying.

But Boss battles felt good. Exploration was mid.

EDIT: Found it interesting that you can get the final Boss under 1/2 health, without a forced cutscene/phase-switch. Couldn't quite kill it before it did, but gave me the impression it was possible.

I've never gotten into the soulslike genre, but the demo sold me on this game. Very excited! I could see this game being my gateway into the genre.

March 24th still cannot get there fast enough. Already locked my pre order on deluxe edition, but I managed to beat the demo with no deaths after I took down 2 bosses on my first attempt at level 80+

Another pile 💩 being shoveled out for gamers to consume, and all the praise in the world is not going make this 💩 any more palatable. The only true gaming Game genre is JRPG and I’m not talking that final fantasy VII remake 💩 or final fantasy 16, I’m talking dragon quest or final fantasy 1-9. So stop claiming 💩 like this deserves to be anywhere near the game of the year. Unless it’s a new JRPG it shouldn’t be previewed or reviewed.

Was disappointed that they toned down the difficulty from the beta. Yes if y’all didn’t know the demo was way easier after everyone was saying the game was hard during the beta in October. It also featured a third lvl which was a huge level and had a viper boss I was expecting that in the demo but nope

Game looks cool but what I care most about is loot. They game has to have cool loot. It's what I like most about with souls games.
