I'm not sure why people are having a go at the adult children. Perhaps they were not close and since Betsy was much young apparently in better health, they assumed that she and him was fine. As she was likely his carer and younger, they probably did not think twice that Betsy herself could pass and leave their father on his own.

As we know, if that hadn't had happened, then likely she would have summoned help for her husband when he went into cardiac arrest!

All the same, sad story.

It’s truly disheartening to think about the grown children who seem to have lost sight of what truly matters. Regardless of the circumstances they faced, it’s heartbreaking that their lives had to end in such a tragic manner. This situation should serve as a stark lesson to all of us: no amount of money can replace the value of a single life. We are reminded that life is precious and fragile, and it cannot be bought or traded for anything else. It’s important for everyone to recognize this truth and cherish the time we have, as well as the relationships we build along the way. RIP they deserve better.

But didn’t they have other dogs that were fed regularly and healthy? He was cognitively ok enough to keep the other dogs alive but not notice his wife or other dog laid out? And the smell they must have been exuding? So strange.

Heads up to anyone stopping by the comment section here. while some get it, most do not. you will see
comments like, "why didn't Gene do this" or, "this sounds full of holes to me" or "why didn't Betsy do that"
when they obviously have no clue about people who are suffering like this. wait until you are in this position
if you are abandoned by your kids. most of America dumps their family members into a nursing home and
drives off never coming back. I KNOW FOR A FACT. *our nursing homes are full for a reason*. "too busy" "I have
my own life" "I'm married, I can't, you do it" "I don't have time" and blah blah blah. just wait. your turn will come if you abandon
your family like that.
isn't one of the commandments, "honor thy mother and thy father"? it's not, "but only if it is convenient".
a HUGE part of making America great again is embracing
our responsibilities to our families, period, end of story and taking care of babies (not aborting them), our
infants, toddlers, our children, teenagers and even other adults, and especially our aged parents. there is the law
of consequences, it's karma boomerangs, and you will reap as you sow, so remember to "do unto others" as
you would want them to do unto you because it's coming back.
and yes, you can still pray for Gene and Betsy and their dogs. I will too. they will feel this and it will give them
a sense of well being, they do feel our love. their spirit still lives. God bless us to really wake up spiritually
and not go "woke" which is godless. RIP Gene and Betsy and little doggie✝.
