I commonly did these research walks in my city. Later people got confused, why I'm staring at random stuff. (People are nosey where I live)
Now, lately I am much more into geometry itself, architecture etc.

4:40 yes, it can. Screen Space Reflections aren't perfect either, their biggest limitation is that, as the name suggests, they are only effective in screenspace, meaning that only objects in your view will appear in the reflection, so if you look down for example something might disappear from the reflection which can be immersion breaking. The only way to do true reflections without compromises is with raytracing, which we can luckily now actually do in real time, I think graphics cards capable of realtime raytracing didn't exist yet when this video was made. So that's how it can get even better.
