The Spring Training schedule starts today against the Dodgers. The Cubs don’t plan on playing any star players. The team doesn’t to have a lockdown closer. If they don’t trade for one what are the in house and free agent oppositions. The Cubs have signed 40 year old veteran Justin Turner but can he still play third base? Turner is a 2X All-Star with experience playing both corner infield spots and will be used as an experienced backup.

Great show. Ryan is the closer. He's not being paid to throw in the 8th inning. Porter will close some games also when Ryan needs a break. Agree. Get David Robertson. For sure. Go Cubs.

David Robertson 3.00 era 1.11 whip last season. 😅 Last season Not career. You're 30mil under the Threshold. The Houston guy will Close that why he was traded. But 8th-7th? David Robertson is needed. Pressly is the closer. That is why he waved his no trade clause to come here. If they have to make a trade in July, they will. Until then, it is Pressly's got the job.

I don't understand why there is any discussion.

Porter Hodge seems like a good guy and I see him as a setup option.

Cubs are pretty well set, unless Hoyer would bring in a fan favorite Home Rizzo. Too have as insurance at 1st base or DH.
