Cut the cord YR 2013, got a TV Antenna and do free streaming as well.
I don't want sports on my Netflix account
How many of us are “Steam Cutters” today? The question of the times since streaming has become more expensive than cable.
Netflix charges too much for what they offer now… adding sports will really inflate their high prices! 🤔
ESPN Netflix does not have this ESPN today get that they’re not doing nothing
How is Netflix going to pay for those expensive sport programming ?
Sports should be its own package with a discount for subscribing to both. You would have the options for having sports, movies/series or both as a combined menu. Combining it together for everyone is Cable 2.0 and the exact wrong move.
Don't want sports. Not paying for it
🍂Matthew 4.17 ✨
From then on Jesus began to preach: Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.
I just cancelled Netflix, Max and Disney+ Not worth the prices they are charging. If they want to stream sports that is fine but make it a separate package and don’t penalize everybody else for it.
If they do…..there better be a sports tier so that the people that don’t want to watch sports can keep the current package without raising the costs for us non sports fans.
Been using YouTube tv for 1 year I love It
Six years cable free.
Streaming services carrying live sports are horrible because most don't offer playback capabilities. As example, any streaming service carrying NFL games are restricted by NFL Network where they own playback rights. Hate this!
Have you heard of puffer tv its a study by Stamford
I'll be gone as soon as I start seeing sport content and a price increase.
And they can proceed WITHOUT my subscription 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Will tubi tv shows more live sports
I cut the cord five years ago. I'm not going back. If the streaming services keep acting like cable companies I'll dump them too.
F1 has no big apeling! Netflix should ad sports on a premium bundle like Netflix sports bundle, but should hav e NFL MLB NHL NBA soccer games to justify price!
I agree with one of the comments that if they start putting sports on they need to put it on a different tier.
I think they will lose more customers than they will gain because as by these comments I'm reading most people more than you think do not live for sports. So if they increase the price they are going to lose I've been with Netflix for I don't know it I know over 18 years and one more price hike and I'm gone
Cancelled my Netflix subscription due to their exploitation of the LA Fires by supporting Megs and Harry.
Then they will need to charge a bunch more money for the service.
I got rid of cable in 2013, and just kept internet service never went back 😊 cause u know how to use the internet and get what I wants for free from shows to movies
Netflix, Paramount+, and Prime are very close to losing my household due to pricing. There was a very good reason that we dumped cable 5 years ago.
Netflix bill going up.I do not watch sports
Formula One would have little effect on increasing Netflix subscribers. Not many people in this country follow Formula One. Certainly not compared to the NFL. Who as we all know is king of the TV world.
Regarding the MLS season pass deal through T-Mobile, you also have to have an Apple TV+ account to take advantage of the deal.
I cut the cord in May of 2023. When my Comcast bill was a $150, there was no way. I could pay that so now I just get apps. Like Paramount+ peacock and the Disney bundle.
The issue with OTA sports networks vs RSNs is that they have to be on independent channels, because the networks have commitments to the network shows. Because of this these independent channels charge higher carriage fees, the same as the RSNs were. This leads traditional cable provides raising their local broadcast fee and companies like YouTube TV to not carry them. Many people’s answers will be, “get an antenna”. Antenna’s don’t work for people in apartments, those in places with poor reception due to topography or distance from a tower and finally these independent stations have less bandwidth than a network station. The teams and the RSN just need to offer an app.
6 years ago I cancelled my cable and never regretted that decision.
Not into racing!
14 years ago, I stopped paying for cable and cut the cord. I had only internet. I have had a great outdoor antenna and Tablo DVR device for 3 years.
I cut the cord in 2011.
It's says join ,not subscribe
Cut the cord in 2017 and used YoutubeTv for $35.00/month and Netflix (had free fiber internet). We had DirectTv and they increased costs for box rentals and multiple boxes (we had 3) and service (paying $200 /month)
Cord Cutter for 10yrs 🎉
I’m a sports fan. But don’t want them on streaming services.
If Netflix raises my price because of adding sports content I have no interest in, I will cancel and never return.
March will be one full year of cord cutting. Wish I had done it sooner, but like the say things happen for a reason. I went cold turkey no live streaming services for me. Got a Roku rest is history. I also cut loose from the Cabal of Cell phone companies. Went w/ Visible 25 $ cut my cell bill 200.00 – 75..00 for 3 phones. A few dropped calls here & there I can live with it. 😎🤣👍
If Netflix gets more live sports, it will be followed by price increase. Enjoy.
I use the F1 app to watch all the F1 races. If Netflix gets that and other sports, I hope they do a separate app and not just jack up the cost of the current one. I think that will drive people away. Think YTTV and how much that has gone up over the years. I cancelled that over a year ago. EDIT: Or they could make the sports an add-on rather than make everyone pay.
I tried watching the Tyson/Paul fight,, and had tons of problems. Netflix can't handle the traffic. Don't bother !
Cut the cord and went free streaming and OTA in 2019. I like how you mention all the cable/streaming/OTA services want to show more sports programming, but its only the 'biggies' of NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, and a few more (Grand Slam Tennis tournaments, the Olympics, etc). Supply/demand comes into play as the team owners have the limited supply so they can 'up' the fee they charge to the broadcasters for the television rights, who just pass that fee along to the consumer.
Does the Facebook group still exist? One day it was suddenly gone for me. Maybe I was removed, even though I was very well aware of the rules and did not break any. Maybe I just reached the max number of people one member can help over my years of support there??? Weird.
