Its a nothing burger. He said he wouldnt mind coming to Detroit on the St Brown's Podcast. If it isnt Philly, Detroit would be his 2nd option. He has one more year on his contract, so unless Philly decides to move on from him, the only story is he still like Detroit.

If u guys want to follow a constructive franchise who are actually do things right then u might want to follow the Rams or commanders. Theres no coming back for the lions. They're just gonna sign a 35 yr old with a torn Achilles & wonder why it's not gonna work out. Detroit doesn't like healthy players. & That's why they paid the price last year

Yes, I'll take Slay. Over Carlton Davis? Fuck that. Slay would be a depth guy for us, but a good guy in the locker room for the young guys if he was willing to sign here and be paid what he's worth. If he wants to be paid...do that somewhere else.

Slay was awesome when he played for us. He is very good. I support whatever Spielman, Holms, and Campbell decide.

He will just come in, play a few games, get injured, and be out the rest of the season on IR.

Slay is well rounded and quite average. He'd get beat a lot if we play that same kind of defense we did last season. I think we're better off with Davis. But I fear we won't match the crazy contract someone will throw at him. I'd just assume draft a CB in the second round and toss them in there like they did with Arnold and Rakestraw. A lot of what we do goes by what kind of defense our new coordinator wants to run. I'm hoping he gets some tough zone coverages put in there. The lack of having a package of those really hurt against Washington. And we all seen what their excellent zone packages did to Goff.
