This update helped alot!!!! I didnt touch my portal for months ... connection, drops, and so forth were terrible!! Now im playin Path of exile 2 with no issues, and other games!! Love da Portal now!! 😎💪👍👌❤❤❤

For 200 this is absolutely worth it, I dont care what the tech bros think. Steam Deck has a tiny screen and it's 3 times the price. You're better off playing on a phone. Cant wait for portal 2

What if I want to play gt7 using ps portal ? I don’t trust public WiFi, should I need a portable WiFi for this to run the game ? I’m not gonna use my mobile networks for it ,cuz juice gonna run out pretty quickly 📱🔋

Cloud gaming sucks balls so bad I can’t stand the portal via wifi or cloud. it’s just shite I’m sorry but god it’s so true 😂😂🤷🏻‍♂️ mine just looks and plays awful all the time Iv got super fast broadband and it still just plays hurriedness astro bot for example is just unplayable. This feels like another big money grabbing scam from Sony just like the pointless PRO.

Dude, the PlayStation Portal's a console now, with PlayStation Plus cloud streaming—sweet! The only bummer is no exclusive games via cloud gaming yet, unless they update it. We'll see, though. It's totally worth buying now. People were already buying it, but now it really is.

I want to get a PS5 primarily for Astro Bot and Black Ops 6. Even though I have a PC and handheld devices, I really want to play Astro Bot, and I don't see it being ported to PC anytime soon. It's December 2024, and I can purchase a 2TB PS5 Pro for $700 right now. Additionally, I would need to buy the PlayStation Portal and the games, which would bring the total to around $1,000.

My question is: is it worth it? I really enjoy handheld devices because I go to dialysis, and they help me pass the time while I sit in the chair for three and a half hours.

The portal would work great for me cause I ride 2 buses and a subway to work…unfortunately I live in Philly and I would get robbed in a heartbeat whippin that out on public transportation lol

I got the Portal back in the summer and notice it did look choppy from the streaming so I returned it back to Best buy

Ok can someone explain to me the usefulness of this device? I mean why in the hell should I buy this to use it in my home when I have a PS5 in the house and connected to a tv? Maybe this could be useful if you are taking a crap? Since you can’t use it outside your home?

I got a Portal day one it was cool and I was able to watch a game and play PS5 I said we would get this in time and blu tooth I am sure is coming also with the use of an adapter I am very happy but with the 120 games Sony put out only one or two I liked hope they update that soon with more RTS ,turn based and sports.

People forget the PlayStation portal price for the streaming handheld may be cheap $200 but the subscription price to keep paying over and over isn't cheap.
You will clearly overcome that $200 base pricetag
