Visions of Mana reviewed by Nick Ransbottom on PlayStation 5, Also available on PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Visions of Mana finally brings the long-dormant classic RPG series into the modern age, looking great and playing even better thanks to multi-layered class and skill systems that interact in clever ways. There are definitely some pacing issues and a few questionable design choices later on, and the occasional framerate drop or awkward lipsyncing can distract. But the flashy and exciting combat, deeply rewarding class system, and cast of likable characters make Visions of Mana a winning comeback for the classic series all the same – and a great game even if you haven’t spent decades waiting for it.

Terrible character design is what stopped me with this game. Clearly an outside source was invovled with the character concept
I loved everything about the game, however, I am gonna have to beat the final boss a second time to unlock the bonus chapter because I am an idiot. When the credits ended and I got back to the home screen, I hit continue like I always did and the game loaded the auto save instead of the manual save with the game clear icon and when I saved the game after finding the last few cactus things, the game clear icon disappeared and I am no longer able to start the bonus chapter. like I said, I am an idiot who stupidly messed up his save file and lost access to the post game stuff.
Man I don't know what it is about this reviewer but I really like their voice they made this review really enjoyable to watch.
would love another Radiata Stories😄
Mankind has run out of new ideas or taking risk is too expensive, so just recycle old titles.
This and Trials of Mana is the pinnacle of what fun and offline ARPG can be. Hopefully this will be released on mobile and switch as well.
best action rpg ever
Just picked up the game today, have loved the games since the original Secret of Mana , hoping to love this as well
Just finished Trails of mana. looks very very similar . think ill play FF16 first , then come to this game.
Another gender neutral main character….greatttttt
This is one beautiful game
The game is bunk the mana series is nowhere near the quality of the old days.
I'm hoping for a switch 2 version. If it never comes, I'll definitely buy this for PS5. <3 Mana since Secret of Mana.
…and then the dev was gutted and shut down the same day the game released, essentially promising no meaningful patches or updates. Awesome! Totally want to pay for that! NOT.
ill play it on gamepass it looks pretty good
Okay, i need a new Breath of Fire in this style…
2:01 Was still caught off guard, despite the warning 😂
7:50 dude, this game is Japanese based. The lip sync will prioritize Japanese language instead of English.
Feel like i’m being advertised the game
TIP for best experience:
1. Play in japanese dub, fits the vibe of the game more
2. Turn off mission, control and minimap display for immersion
3. Play on hard mode. Its basically old school normal
4. Performance mode. No noticeable difference with quality aside from clarity but with more consistent 60. Cel shading style fits well with the low reso so it still looks fine
5. Approach it like a ps1/ps2 era jrpg thats modernized.
GUYS IT'S A 7…..+1
This guy convinced me to buy Visions of mana
Do you work for IGN?
Wait.. isn't this the same plot for Tales of Symphonia?
Woah nintendo voice :O
Can't stop thinking how the plot of this game is a tradition of human sacrifices and we are on the side that maintains this tradition. The whole history of this game seem like an alien moral.
No black characters? WHERE IS THE DIVERSITY 😭
every modern game feels compelled to include an obligatory low T trans femme catboy
Graphics: 4/10.
