4 peopleâĻhow did FOUR people pull this off. Is it that easy or are they just really gifted? Iâve bought but not yet played this yet and I just donât understand how they can do this yet major studios botch so much. 4 people! Same with the VR modded games Iâm insanely jealous of. People just do this on their own but (excluding Arkham shadow, Capcon and Gt7) major studios canât pay a team to port a few flats over to vr. I know it sounds lazy but sometimes I just want to relax and play a vr game with the regular controller. I love VR but I play to relax which doesnât always end well when my adrenaline gets going as I stab the npcs over and over and do weird shit with my weapons. If I had a simple analog controller game maybe I wouldnât be as depraved. Lol

Hi! I hope you can help. When I physically crouch, the surroundings move up more than it should in real life. This only happens with this game, not with Half Life Alyx, Vertigo 2, Metro, etc. Is there a setting to turn this off?
Love this game, but a few nitpicks:
The environments so far seem to be mostly the same. I'm only a few hours in, but it's so green lol
And the guns seem VERY underpowered. I can kill a guy in 1 swing of a sword, or 60 shots. Hmm!

Today i did a comparison with the new game arken age,tried it on the quest 3 with a link cable and with the psvr2 connected to the pc.. i must say its a total different game on the psvr2.. the colors and brightness and 3d is so much better for me on the psvr2 its far more immersive..
How does this game compare to Half Life: Alyx
I can't really say I get the hype on this game. It's gorgeous and immersive but I've got 4 hours and I'm forcing myself to try to continue playing. It feels like a wasted UI when all I'm really doing is initiating waves of robots in an arena. I makes me wish I were playing a deeper game with quests or exploring the beautiful landscape rather than be locked in a dome. A step forward for VR-UI sure but kind of a step backward for deep gameplay in VR. (More of the same.) Remember, we had borderlands 2 on psvr and I really haven't felt that we've matched that on psvr2 yet. RE games are close, but not as vast and deep as BL2 or skyrim. I can see why standard gamers aren't impressed by VR yet, when VR enthusiasts only seem to get caught up in whether a game has great FP mechanics/manual reloads and smooth frame rates… can we have a creative game? VR lacks outside the box creativity like astro bot gave us in the last generation. Even third person games still feel the need to EXPLAIN why it's not first person (you're an entity guiding a charcter) as if developers are embarrassed is not in first person. …stfu and make a good game.

Did you happen to notice if there is a way to adjust the angle of the gun? It's off by like 20 degrees compared to any other VR game. Since you have the Devs ears, would you mind recommending the ability to adjust this

Itâs great to see another game that is designed for PSVR2 and PC unlike Metro and Behemoth that are both made for Quest (specifically Quest 2) and then poorly ported to the more powerful platforms.
Any visual or quality of play differences between PSVR2 and PC?

Haven't played this game yet but from the video it looked similar to Hubris? I played and loved and finished Hubris for its solid gameplay and VR mechanics.
Very rarely buy games at full price on release but have here as game is excellent and feel like small dev teams need to be supported especially when they release innovative visually impressive games like these. Hope its a big success for them would love to see what rhey do in the future. Large software publishers should take note of whats possible!
Feel like I'm missing out on all the fun, I played the game earlier today and yes it looks ok and is well polished but I'm just not enjoying the gameplay *shrug*. I feel that as VR gamers we hand wave away alot of issues and shortcomings that most VR games have these days, the bar gets set so low that's it's not terribly hard to clear it.

Would Arken Age work using Steam link on a Quest 2? My PC plays Half-Life: Alyx with no issues.
It's so good. physics, combat, levels, climbing, performance..
Tried it and it's only "ok". Combat is not good & the NPCs are horrible. Only good thing in the game is really the climbing. The combat is like in so many others… not very well thought through. All you can do is just really smash with the sword and hope you hit or do a basic block & the fight is over.
It's also poorly optimized, if it was half the price, I probably wouldn't be so critical, but for the same price as Behemoth, this just isn't the pick. As so many other VR games, it's mediocre at best and way overhyped by youtubers.

Great Review! Quick question, how forgiving is the karma system in this game? Where you can come across bodies and either steal the ingot from their hand or break their green helmet. During the beginning area I accidentally did the red choice instead of the green choice (because I was confused as I didnât obtain my sword yet to be able to break the helmets) but after that Iâve been breaking every helmet I see.
In the main hub I noticed that if you get 100% green karma you get the ritual dagger weapon mod. I just wanna know if I can still get it even though I accidentally made one bad choice at the very beginning.
I know you said you like being the good guy so I assume you broke every single helmet, but did you only get the ritual dagger after breaking every single green helmet in the game? Or did you still find some helmets to break after you got the ritual dagger? I just wanna know if there is a bit of leeway or if one mistake costs you the karma reward. Thank you!
This is the difference when you have passionate VR devs vs 2D game developers who are tasked with creating a VR game. They understood the assignment and delivered. I hope this opens the eyes of other devs, sets a new bar in the VR space.
Thanks for making those helpful suggestions to improve this game. I appreciate you thinking of players like me that have big gaps in how frequently we can play. We can't waste time lost! This should be really special once all are ironed out.
