I recently put a deposit down on the Xiaopaiche SC01 – set to be released next year, with Xiaomi backing and investment. I wanted to make a little series about how the process with buying this goes – hopefully with a test drive and factory tour of some sort. Lets see how it goes!

One of the big hurdles for sales outside of China would be crash safety. If they haven't designed it from the ground up to meet safety standards then it's unlikely they'll be able to sell it overseas. Any statements from the designers on that front?

I would like a decent size screen for GPS reason and in parking mode only video watching ( entertainment well charging at a public charging station) good comfortable seats. A nice feeling diel/knob for controlling the temperature from the ac and nice feeling buttons for other stuff ( the screen on the side should only be for GPS and video in parking mode anything else should be hardware buttons and diel/knob)
For reference a cherry mx mechanical keyboard have nice feeling buttons and the jds element for diel/know feel

I had similar thoughts about the Aptera, even though I'm in NE UK. Still, I popped a reservation fee down on one – I figure that EVs should break boundaries – mainstream OEMs simply banging a motor in a traditional design don't really get me interested.
This SC01 is a nice way to go about it – less is more!

Looks like fun btw! I know it's totally different design-wise, but I remember my first car (1970 Mini), it was slow, but felt SO fast because it was so low. It was basic, and that was part of the charm.
I like the rethinking about the need for gadgets but it's a shame they are not rethinking the chassis and are just making a clone of a fossil vehicle.

I got to say it's a looker it has Lancia Stratos and a Ferrari 296 GTB but it's still a very good-looking car he needs to bring it worldwide thought or it will not be as successful as it can be
As someone who loves to make things I appreciate his work and it will definitely inspire more and more people and He should get in contact with the organizers at the Riyadh Car Show they are looking for interesting car's from around the world and they will take care of the cost of shipping the car and his accommodation
And if I had the money I would definitely pay for this car It's a very simple and good-looking car and It's light Just like what a lotus is
