Any chance you could do Days Gone? There's definitely not a perfect game but it's not as terrible as metacritic makes it out to be. Definitely had issues at first but now it's a solid 8/10. And let's be real no game is perfect not even red dead redemption 2 which is a lot like days gone when it comes to mission structure. RDR2 is 9.9/10 for me

Playstation is king and he is being honest . Also every hardcore xbox fan owns a ps5 and a ps4 and played this game , including GOW Horizon i can go on and on. Miles morales is bar none the best game to come out at the covid era . A time where xbox literally had nothing and some say still has nothing in April 2021 is mind boggling

When I analyze things deeply (at people's request) in my areas of expertise, I get lots of hate. Congrats on being in a field where you don't have to deal w/ that crap lol :) I don't know why people ask a professional and expect an ignorant run-of-the-mill opinion, rather than facts :D
Moreover, I just really appreciate you lending your expertise. This is great. It helps to know if we are making a good purchase or not. I don't want to spend 60-70 dollars if the dev cut a bunch of corners and half-did it.

Glad to hear that cinematics are important to a game engine designer. This is what I've personally been craving for a long time, cinema quality visuals and storylines in games. Many gamers, especially PC gamers don't get this because they are just obsessed about frame rates and don't think about the other things driving immersion, like resolution, textures, screen size, art, and sound.
This is why for me, it is games like Tomb Raider, Resident Evil, Star Citizen, Red Dead Redemption 2, etc that speak to me.
This is something I feel Sony really understand from their years in movies, music, and TV. It is something I am not convinced Microsoft and the stereotypical gamer really get.

"cinematic" yeah, it looks like an interactive quicktime movie. You could play through that bridge scene 5 million times and it would look the same everytime.

I've realised that one of the women in the street market didn't have any reflection in the puddle. So it isn't ray tracing otherwise this couldn't happened

Lol, imma be honest with you... parts of this Spiderman gameplay really felt like a cinematic trailer! Idk if they are just smoothly transitioning or what, but its pretty crazy.
That being said, I'm not super taken with the gameplay (I know this may get me some hate but..) I feel like much of this gameplay feels like cutscenes? Like how God of War used to be a bunch of quicktime cutscenes instead of actual gameplay. I hope the game actually allows you to swing around those crazy dynamic scenes but.. I doubt it.
