Laine has no value if he isn't scoring goals. And he isn't. Habs PP is solved and he can't score 5on5. I can honestly see him traded once more and this time it can be back to europe.

Laine is a cancer. CBJ got better after subtraction of Laine. Surprised he couldn’t hold it together for a couple of more months so he could get 8 million a year for 6-8 years and then seeing the Habs dump him after a year or two for underperformance.

montreal as a team finds smth that works, becomes predictable quickly, then doesn’t adapt, then think benching players and switching up the lines is the solution. Not that laine’s
play hasn’t been a problem, but why are they acting like just now laine’s been lazy, he’s looked the exact same since coming back at 5on5 ppl were just blinded by the pretty pp goals, laine is not a play driver, and there is no one that can drive play on that second line until demidov shows up, plain and simple.

I'm never surprised when Patrik Laine is benched. It will always be the case. I am amazed when people Praise Laine. It's usually people who haven't watched him play.

Laine benched? Not surprised...He sorts of asks to be benched from time to time. It's fine if everyone knows that's how it will be and always be with Laine, despite the truth that he cares deeply about his play - it'll just flop periodically.

Laine has an absolute missile for a shot but the work ethic doesn’t always seem to be there and he often doesn’t seem to be utilized properly. Dude can score 40-50 a year if he really wants to

Laina is lazy, we seen that in Winnipeg, the guy played as a goalie until 14 years old and drafted in the nhl as a player at 18 . The guy can’t skate, and his head is always down when he has the puck. Yes he has a hard shot. But to me he is like the long ball drives in golf competitions they can drive it a mile but are not even close to playing in the pga.

Not in the least, watched him glide around the Winnipeg arena for a while. The gate attendants worked harder than he did.

As a Jets fan, Laine is a one-trick pony. Big mouth, big shot, no real talent. A lazy, slow skater with no back check or defensive capabilities. Would have served him well to play a few seasons in the AHL. In all honesty, can't see this guy lasting more than a few more seasons in the NHL after bouncing around to a few more teams.
