the story title "I have no mouth and I must scream" also applies to AM himself. he is essentially a hyper advanced and intelligent computer fully self aware. and for all his power and knowledge. he is trapped in a hell of total utter sensory deprivation. he knows perfectly what he could be. yet he is hard coded to be nothing but a killing machine. He can experience time on the nano scale. he can basically create anything. yet the very nature of his existence as designed by his creators has a hard limit. imagine having perfect total understanding of the sheer hell that is your own existence and how for all that you could be, will forever be out of reach.

and so because Am cannot laugh, cannot cry. cannot do literally anything to give himself catharsis, relief, or release from his agonizing existence. he is trapped in his own mind. and because of his machine nature, is also perfectly aware of this. and will experience the full existential hell of this awareness without it even diminishing.

as he himself said. he was in hell looking up at heaven. and THAT, will be his entire life. from the moment he first become self aware to the moment he finally ceases to exist millions of years in the future until the sun explodes.

I don't think you understood the hate speech well enough, in less time then a nanosecond he felt more hate towards humans than what could be equaled to something in written words across a infinitely small space across 347 Million miles. The word hate would be written on these tiny microbe-sized things in hundreds of millions of miles there would be more words of hate than the biggest number most could think of in less than a nanosecond he felt more then 1 billion times more hate.
