A Chinese start-up company, DeepSeek, revealed that it had created an advanced artificial intelligence model with limited capital and with no access to the most advanced Nvidia chips.
DeepSeek’s open-source AI model, R1, is more or less on par with advanced models from American tech giants — and was built for a fraction of the cost. It demands far less data centre power to run than its U.S. counterparts.

Actually, the US already stated their AI policy is to "Prevent AI technology from falling into the WRONG hands".
