You might like A Short Hike. In that game you climb, fish, fly dig, run and interact with characters with the backdrop of a emmotional story and everything makes sense. The best thing about the game is that it is very, very short.

New horizons released at the perfect time. My second semester in college went online half way through, work shut down for a few weeks. The world was stressful at that time but new horizons made it bearable

Too many cosy games try to do everything. They try to be farming, exploring, dungeon, dating, friendship, building, cooking etc. Just do one thing very good.

Ok, i just have to say this, its why im a lil excited for wanderstop
To sum it all up, its a cozy game about making tea in a fantasy forest, yet you actually play a character, alta, a former warrior who seems to hate what she is doing, as she tries retreating to a cozy life, she finds herself burnt out by it.
Also did i mention the writing is by Davey Wreden and the music by C418
This isnt an ad im just really hyped for the game.

Coral island was so dumb and bad like how is living of petroleum with high wages and good quality of live worst that living of cheap tourism, they are wild for it

edit: one game that i dont think is meant to be cozy but definitely is is shelter ii. cant say the same for the other shelter games cause ive never played them but something about hunting for your little kittens and watching them grow is so kindling with the risk of starving, natural disasters, and predators still lingering in the background. its really pretty to and i love naming my kits and making up personalities for them as i hunt

Honestly, Fields of Mistria did something right about farming being "the thing you do sparingly" or "for when you complete the museum and ruins quests" because it focuses more on exploration, even though this is still early-access. Considering I'm a rural worker myself, most cozy games with farming makes me roll my eyes because I feel like I'm in a glorified version of my daily routine.
Infinity Nikki might also count as cozy, even though it plays like a open world platformer and... Being from the Nikki series, I doubt it will remain cozy.

stardew valley might be intended to be relaxing
but time is always ticking, and you got a limited stamina bar, and tried to minmax every game day is really painful
it might not matter much, but the more you manage to profit early the more you'd be able to get early

Its kind of funny i see no one talking about either slime rancher 1 or 2 in the comments. I personally think they’re some of my favourite cozy games and in my top ten favourite video games.

a Little To The Left looks great, but it it so far from what farming sims are that I'm starting to think that "cosy gaming" isn't actually a genre of game but a broad market segment. You wouldn't normally have a genre of game with two things in it which are that different. I think treating cosy games as a "genre" would be like treating all dark-edgy games as a "genre", and that's too broad to really mean much or be helpful to people when picking what to play.

One I like is My Time at Sandrock. I love reverse confessions and even proposals. The story is unique and the grind is fun.

If you like cozy games, I recommend Spire Blast. is a surprising combination of match-three games and 3D physics. very addictive :)

One can not talk about cozy games, but fails to mention the Atelier games series 😂😂
But jokes aside nearly every point you made isn't an actual deep critique of the game, just you realizing you aren't really into cozy games as it seems, but you justify it by saying their not challenging enough etc. That's like me going out for a pizza and then complaining that my pizza tasted like... Pizza. That should have been kinda obvious from the start that that's what you get, like a lot of farming games in this genre, not to sweep under the rug that there's a lot of shovel ware and plain cash grabs in this genre.
But I guess you would be happier in your gaming experience if you'd branch out to different genres.
