4:30. "Monument Valley" and some of the "Painted Desert" of Arizona is portrayed in this video. I was there around 10 years ago. I saw the Grand Canyon, Sedona, Monument Valley, & the Painted Desert. This seems like an odd "vacation/holiday" location for many people from Europe, but it is a must see to witness some national wonders of the earth. I highly recommend travelers to go to this section of Arizona for a day and a half! You will NOT be disappointed! The Rock formations are like Nature's Versions of the Pyramids of Gaza.

Wow! This just sent me on a memory journey! I had this on cassette tape 35 years ago when I was in high school. This is an incredible song. Thanks for the reaction. As an aside, this was released shortly have the Berlin Wall fell. 1989/1990 was an insane year to live in the world, but a special year to witness live.

If you are interested in more rock ballads, let me suggest the Barclay James Harvest "Poor Man's Moody Blues", "One Night", "Someone There You Know", "Hymn", "Poet", "After The Day", "The Jocker", "For No One", Rock 'n' Roll Star" and "Suicide". Other rock ballads I would like to suggest is from the group of Rainbow "Temple Of The King" and "Catch The Rainbow".

They do a live acoustic version of this on their Acoustica album, recorded live in 2001 in Lisboa, in my opinion, its even better than the original.

Land of the morningstar is the hell. Luzifer himself is singing. The voice is Klaus Meine, one of the best Rock singer in the world.
In summer 1989 at Moskow Peace Festival 250.000 people hear (german band) The Scorpions live with Wind of change, Still loving you, The Zoo, Rock you like a hurricane, No one love you and more songs.... they still exsist.

other great ballads from Scorpions (apart from this one and the known ones like "Still Loving You" and 'Wind of Change') are 'When the smoke is going down' and 'Always somewhere'.

greetings and love from Germany...I´m suprised no one here mention the great relationship the "Scorpions" have with Russia since the cold war of the eighties. The first band allowed to play on Krasnaya Ploshchad. They also played at the peace festival 1989 in Moscow, Gorky Park

Scorpions have appealed to female fans since their debut album 'Lonesome Crow' in 1972 because they wrote acoustic songs (later called 'power ballads') as a rock band w/ some of their early songs in the 70's like - "In search of the peace of mind"... 'In trance' ... 'Yellow Raven'... 'Born to touch your feelings'...
When the Scorpions finally broke big commercially in 1979 w/ their 6th album 'Lovedrive'... they had more tender songs like 'Holiday'... 'Is there anybody there'... 'Always somewhere'... and had a formula to sell rock ballads to their female fans worldwide. They released major singles like "Still loving you" ... 'Wind of change' ... 'Woman'... 'Under the same Sun'...
as well as other popular songs like - 'Lady Starlight' ... 'When the smoke is going down' ... 'Lonely nights'... 'You and I'... etc.


As a hard rock fan, u can also enjoy the Scorpions hits like - 'Rock you like a hurricane' ... 'No one like you' ... 'Rhythm of love' ... "Don't believe her"... 'Make it real'... etc. That is why Scorpions have such a huge fanbase across the world from Asia to South America.

I would suggest "Rock You Like a Hurricane". Not a ballad though.
If you liked them as a kid and already know those that are always played then there are still many others that are really good too. "Walking on the Edge" is another ballad.. and "Rythm of Love"..
