323 Learn How We Made Maggie a Great Dog

#The_official_site_of_the_Original_Old_Farmer_Channel

It’s been four years since Maggie has joined our family. The previous Bichon, MeMe, named by the Capital Humane Society of Lansing, Michigan. MeMe was a most unusual dog and Mrs. Old Farmer, Marty and I still miss her. But Maggie is helping to fill the gap and she has bonded to me very strongly. We are still working on getting Maggie to bond stronger with Mrs. Old Farmer. This is the fourth year update on how Maggie is doing.

YT is rolling back the viewership. Literally you can watch then numbers go down. Please, please, please, leave a comment, “HELLO” is enough.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
You can help fight back YouTube’s Shadow-Banning of this channel by sharing and commenting, and of course subscribing. YouTube is blocking viewership of this channel and have taken away views. I can actually see the viewership counter go backwards. So, if you could at least leave a comment, it would be greatly appreciated.. YouTube is also allowing copyright strikes to be claimed against this channel. In other words, YouTube isn’t listening when I give the following information about music used on this channel.

The music I use is from Sound Ideas. It is a purchased license and is royalty-free music. I have used their music for about 50 years, yes 50 years.
There has even been a copyright claim on the Public Domain National Anthem played by the Military, recorded by the Military and downloaded from a Military site. Therefore I have created, within my computers an electronic version and have added canon fire to the last few beats of the music just as if it was actually being fired during a performance. I own it. I have placed meta-data inside to mark it as my music.

We really need an association of YouTube creators to sit at the table as equals, YouTube is ripping anyone that are not their favorites.

Good video. Most of my furry kids have been rescue animals, some have been real challenges others not so much. Keep it up.

Mom is on her second rescue dog. At least that I know of. Our dog is rehomed from a neighbor. Some would say rescue. He is a mix of America Bull dog and maybe Can Corso. He is over a hundred pounds he's people social but not animal social. I wish I could take him somewhere that he could run without worries of getting in trouble. I've trained him the usual, sit, down, stay and even from hand signals. I can put his favorite treat down and he won't take it till I say "you can have it". Three clicks and he will heal at least for a hot minute. But if he sees a cat he'll turn into a feral bulldozer capable of 30 mph. If we could train him to not be so reactive we'd be golden. He's a beautiful dog and when my 2nd daughter has an anxiety attack he's right there trying to help. Lots of times before me. I'd say like kids, love is key.

Adoptable dogs have so much love to give but have been through so much crap beforehand it's hard for them to trust anyone for a long while. I had a female brindle Staffordshire bull terrier from my local humane society (yes she looked scary) who was every stores favorite dog in town, super friendly with people and other dogs & not one spec of mean in her and never barked unless alerting me to something occurring in the yard. Had a really crappy weekend back in August a year and a half after I acquired her, Puked and seemed highly confused when I was at the cabin in Houghton, I had to drive all the way to MSU late at night and had the terrible diagnosis of Hemangiosarcoma and a ruptured mass on her spleen with many other growing masses. Once my vet in town opened I made the call to end her suffering, still hurts me thinking about it. I passed a pet cremation vehicle today on my way home from work and started tearing up. I Visited Capital Area Humane Society a few months back and was impressed, very modern and organized though didnt find who I was after as pictures are hard to determine who they are. I recently ended up with a 1 yr old Rottweiler possibly pit mix from Oxford, he's a basket case and I have many months of work ahead of me. He's in teenage rebellion stage and I have no idea his history other than coming from Detroit. He is well behaved for the most part and enjoys my company and playing non stop but I cant wait for this "teenager" stage to be over with 🤣 My fingers are in his mouth multiple times everyday grabbing stuff he shouldn't have in there during walks or he gets too excited playing. Just need a little time and training like you've had with Maggie and he should be in good shape.
