That game is already dead to me. For some context, I played the first one three times, but this one? Only once, and that was at launch. There’s zero improvement in animation fidelity compared to Miles Morales. Honestly, I have no idea what they were doing with the new PS5 hardware. Spider-Man 2 is supposed to be a PS5 exclusive, yet it feels almost identical to Miles Morales, which was built on PS4 tech! The main story was painfully average, and the side missions? They felt like they were slapped together by ‘Dead Baby Inc.’ Honestly, what a massive downgrade from the first game.

This game could have been so much better if they followed the comics instead of the Sweet Baby Inc bullsh*t.

It will just be more of the same with the DLC.

And the Wolverine game. Insomniac will go the way of Ubisoft, Bioware, Activision, Blizzard, etc, etc, blah, blah, blah.

I wouldn't get my hopes up for anything coming from Playstation, not even the Spider-man 2 DLC. The description for the state of play is super generic and only in one sentence, this time doesn't seem like even Playstation themselves are excited for the show, so I would go in assuming all games are coming from Third party. But if they announce Spider-man 2 DLC, I am happy to be proven wrong.

Spider-Man 2 stuff won’t be shown in state of play. Spider-Man 2 DLC or Venom game will be announced in October to go along with the Venom movie. They did the same thing with god of war announcing few days before release

Bro, this game was never as good as something like Web of Shadows or Shattered Dimensions and it had a budget of over $200 million. With that kind of budget I expect my name to be legally changed to Peter Parker and for Sony to hand make me a Spider-Man suit, not for them to wait 5 months to put in a basic feature that should of been there at launch(new game plus). And now we’re waiting for the DLC? Nah, this game is dead and always has been since it’s rushed launch. Screw Sony!

If I gotta be blunt, it’s 50-50 7030 for the most part all we’ve been hearing were nothing but rumors and hearsay. the part about it is it’s just knock on wood for me until we know more tomorrow assuming they’ll have something tomorrow for Spider-Man if not, I’m satisfied with what we got

This State of Play will be the make or break point and will finally put the nail down on Spider-Man 2 receiving Story DLC or not but as always keep your expectations low because with Sony you never know what we might get.
