Might be super obvious for some, but not for all! This is for you guys, have a great weekend!

For anyone who has an Orange Micro Dark like me, you can run the FX send into your interface. Just plug a dummy cable into the headphones output then run the FX send to your interface and mind the master volume on the amp, set it all the way off then gradually bring it up. Been doing this for a while and prefer it over all my plugins

Lead as well

What do you think about blackstar id core 100

@insidiousprophet1049 February 4, 2025 - 3:22 am

Ola, dumb question. The sound of the pedal/impulse response is coming out of the speakers connected to your computers sound card correct? May I ask what kind of speakers you are using and is it just a basic L&R stereo set up, or do you also have a sub woofer?

@rioslj9452 February 4, 2025 - 3:22 am

bought a revv3 and to be honest, was the worst purchase, that thing makes so much unwanted noise, from buzzing to picking up extra unnecessary noise, I went back to my boss mt2

@lostinpa-dadenduro7555 February 4, 2025 - 3:22 am

An additional way to do this: hook pedal into interface, get free NAM plugin, find a NAM capture of a cool amp on clean or low gain, add your favorite speaker IR.

thanks for the info ola I like the metal zone sound i feel you and Colin are the only ones who can make the metal zone awesome

Source Audio UltraWave + EQ2 into power amp into guitar cab.
or
Tech21 PSA 2.0 (turn off the sansamp) into power amp into guitar cab.

The UltraWave has compressor, distortion, LFO, and this is key: 8-band graphic EQ + high and low pass filters; also has envelope, trem, and noise gate.

The EQ2 has a tuner.

The Source Audio pedals two ins and outs, so many routing options are possible such as stereo or dual mono – which lets you have two different "preamps" for a dual amp rig, or as a two channel preamp…

I've used these with different power amps, solid state and tube.

Have you tried having top boost on but taking down the treble? Ik it sounds stupid but like is top boost with treble rolled off a different tone than unboosted but treble 10? I remember having this pedal and i always had top boost on and never ever had it in normie mode. Maybe i just had a dark amp, plus i use super thicc strings. Also i palm mute on the bridge idk where olas hand is but it sounds like hes doing that more megadeth palm mute closer to the bridge pickup for that like steel bar hitting a telephone pole sound lol. Which i also love. "Thrum plump plump plum" vs "kuk kuk kuk kuk"

@cam-inf-4w5 February 4, 2025 - 3:22 am

The finish on the wood of that guitar is so nice from certain angles it looks like candy dark orange paint

@Quantalar February 4, 2025 - 3:22 am

This should be called the other way around because so many people have amps that they can distort but they have no pedals

@yunamadsimackomen881 February 4, 2025 - 3:22 am

Next time instead of saying "always" you should say "Olaways"

@skiro6061 February 4, 2025 - 3:22 am

I wonder how this method will work on a bass, gonna try it out

@SkeeterMcBeater February 4, 2025 - 3:22 am

Don't even need an impulse. Tech 21+muff opamp=siamese dream

@d3vilman69 February 4, 2025 - 3:22 am

2:36 Hard to believe the sound is created without a real amp. I just ordered a regular MT-2 hope it pairs well with my marshall SL-5 and Gibson LP standard

@Trigene1004 February 4, 2025 - 3:22 am

i was like wow thats cool i wanna try….then i began to search for those impulse-responce things…then i realiced that i dont have any distortion-pedals left cause some years ago i was like "hey wtf i got an ENGL i DONT need this shit!!!"…nice man…
fuck me 😂😂😂

Anyone in California so-cal wana jam to some old school metalcore hardcore with some in flames style riffs with some black dahlia grit and KSE FLOW

@subarumoses February 4, 2025 - 3:22 am

Beauty of a vid. Are you hearing the guitar through your speaker monitors there? And it sounds like what we hear?

@Fartinhalerr February 4, 2025 - 3:22 am

Man for the longest time I believed it was way too hard to mic a cab, so I bought ir's and a tone captor x for recording and I was never happy with it. Tone always sounded brittle and thin nothing like in the room. So one day I just threw a sm57 in front of a 1×12 c90 and right away it blew the doors off any IR.
What's my point? At least try and mic your cab even if your room isn't treated or whatever because you might be suprised!

@gabrialharris4381 February 4, 2025 - 3:22 am

Recently discovered the DS-1 is actually really cool as a preamp, would be interesting to see it done this way

@RavenWinterz February 4, 2025 - 3:22 am

I was trying this the other day with my Metal Muff into Logic but then I ended up ditching it when I realized that Logic has a ton of included amp sims, no need for anything else. Logic is great for guitar players. Guys, for $200 Logic is the way to go. A decent computer with a good audio interface and a good guitar, you're set.

An MXR DiÅŋtortion + into a Tech 21 GT2 into an MXR Analog Chorus into a Tech 21 Q Strip.

@wowdaster February 4, 2025 - 3:22 am

Pathos means passion. And yes, titties are passion xD

@SleepingLionsProductions February 4, 2025 - 3:22 am

its important to know that ALL IMPULSE RESPONSES ARE RECORDED USING A POWER AMP OF SOME KIND INTO A GUITAR CAB. So you really just need a preamp with a tone stack to do all of your gain and shaping, so of course this works. My fave sound rn is a metalzone going into an IR, so i am going to get both a super cheap power amp and an IR cab sim pedal to make a mobile amp setup.

@travishaynes1180 February 4, 2025 - 3:22 am

NOT EVERYONE CAN AFFORD AMPS & GUITARS WORTH THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS BUT ALMOST ANYONE CAN COME UP WITH 20 OR 30 FOR A PEDAL. IF IT IMPROVES YOUR SOUND , WHY NOT?!

@capacitiveguitarresistance February 4, 2025 - 3:22 am

I miss my metal muff terribly.

@onezday461 February 4, 2025 - 3:22 am

What tuning?

@alaingarcia89 February 4, 2025 - 3:22 am

Do I need a DI Box between the pedal and the interface?? To reduce the signal or anything

@robertavila1863 February 4, 2025 - 3:22 am

4:25 🤟

@lukaszkoziol8302 February 4, 2025 - 3:22 am
