can gdevelop make game a visual novel x simulator game with a complex story?
My question is, is it possible to make games and publish them online without buying a premium? I'm from Russia and I want to make games, but I can't even buy a package for an indie developer. I have the money, but I can't buy it because of the sanctions.
Well, yeah, the best games become popular, it's true. But if the main focus is "to make a game", there's high chance of this game just… existing?
There's little things that I hate more about modern gamedev, than gamedevs praising each other for just finishing another mediocre game that lacks any solid idea whatsoever, and that made some profit just because other fellow game developers wanted to support their peer.
Not every game has to exist. And now the only "real failure" out there is not making a game, but it should be other way round. "Just start building it" would encourage people to just release whatever, just for a fact of doing so.
I would say, it should be more of "Think about 'why my game has to exist', and then start building it".

what If i code an ai and allow it to code new contents to the game where the main character isn't actually you but the ai's development process basically keeps adding new content to game and when player plays it the ai then deletes the content then creates a new content basically it doesn't take big ass storage just uhh you have to update it everytime a new content added.. idk if people would play an endless game haha.

Issue Description:
I'm developing a Flappy Bird-like game in GDevelop 5. The game functions as expected during the initial playthrough:
Upon the bird's death, the end screen displays both the current score and the high score accurately.
However, after clicking the restart button:
The game restarts, and while the current score resets correctly, the high score increments incorrectly.
Example Scenario:
First Playthrough:
Achieved Score: 5
Displayed High Score: 5
After Restart:
Achieved Score: 3
Displayed High Score: 6 (instead of remaining 5)
Observations:
I've noticed that altering the order of events in the event sheet affects the high score behavior. For instance, certain configurations result in the high score increasing by 2, while others cause it to display as 0. This suggests that the sequence of events might be contributing to the problem.

I'm seeking guidance on how to correctly manage and display the high score upon restarting the game. Any insights into the proper ordering of events or best practices for handling score variables in GDevelop 5 would be greatly appreciated.

The best feedback is the annoying, or at least mildly irritating feedback. The trouble with the feedback system is that people are rewarded for giving you over the top praise…10/10 …you love their feedback and they earn credits. I think it’s a good way to generate feedback…..but it does generate a lot of chuff. So if you’ve ever had feedback from me ….i hope you found it really really annoying! This video is great advice ….perhaps I should find out what people actually think of my latest effort before I throw any more of my time at it….or just spend six months making the graphics slightly better and another hidden area that nobody will ever visit!
