The only thing louder than the dinosaurs’ roars were the voices of gamers worldwide demanding the return of a survival horror classic.

We’ve listened—the legendary Dino Crisis and Dino Crisis 2 are back, fully playable on modern PCs! -Win10/Win11 compatibility
-Original/Arrange/Operation Wipe Out modes
-4K
-Modern controllers support
-New graphics options & more

The original PC versions of Dino Crisis and Dino Crisis 2 are now available to buy on GOG.

Although they were ported to PC in 2000 and 2002 respectively, neither game has been available for digital purchase on modern PC storefronts.

This has now changed, with Capcom‘s surival horror classic Dino Crisis and its sequel Dino Crisis 2 now available on GOG, currently priced at $11.37 each (or in a bundle for $19.35).

Both games have been optimised to ensure they work on modern PCs, and include numerous new features to ensure the best compatibility with today’s setups.

Both games boast new rendering options, an improved DirectX game renderer, support for modern controllers, smooth video playback, cloud save support and extra stability and bug fixes.

Dino Crisis and Dino Crisis 2 are back from the dead with re-releases on PC via GOG.

Both cult classic PlayStation survival horror games are available on the CD Projekt-owned platform DRM-free, with their original content fully intact as part of GOG’s Preservation Program.

Capcom released Dino Crisis on the original PlayStation in 1999 and then Dino Crisis 2 just a year later. Dino Crisis 3 launched as an original Xbox exclusive in 2003 and fans have yet to see a new game since.

Despite the occasional groundswell of opinion that Dino Crisis should return with a brand new entry in the series or a HD remake, Capcom seems uninterested. Indeed Capcom’s 2022 announcement of Exoprimal, a multiplayer-focused action game featuring dinosaurs, was seen as the final nail in the coffin for Dino Crisis. And in August last year, Dino Crisis creator Shinji Mikami said the popularity of Capcom’s Monster Hunter doesn’t leave room for a reboot or remake of the beloved PlayStation game.

Many years ago I've played this whole game in Japanese, no walkthrough, no internet, lol. It took me ages to find what I needed. I'll sure play it on PC now.

Man, the models in DC2 look way too high detailed compared to the backgrounds. They stick out too much.

He didn't play it. He never plays any of the games he reviewed. Skims through it at best. Turd

The real question is, when they develop the remake, should the dinosaurs have feathers to be biologically accurate? Or scaley to be accurate to the OG game?

I was blown away by the upscaled graphics after the HD project mod. Agree so much. Definitely buying. Dino Crisis 2 such a throwback.

They Remastered Onimusha 1 but never did 2&3 😞

Well the reboot in 2026 is great but wouldn’t mind having the complete remaster of Onimusha too

Already got Dino Crises 1 on PS5, maybe 2 will come eventually

1:58 "way back in the day PC ports used to be awful"…you mean like Redfall, Mass Effect: Andromeda, Battlefield 2042, Arkham Knight, Assassin's Creed Unity, the list goes on? So in otherwords, not much has changed…The only saving grace of these modern examples is that they were easy to patch (well some of them)…

@hatsuneelissu5924 January 31, 2025 - 2:17 pm

And here i am just beating the game a second time for the costumes and under 3 hours for operation wipe out on PS5 today!
Ohwel… even IF you know all the Ins & Outs, Dino Crisis is still an boringly annoying game! for me.

Any emulator can do this, nothing new except you gotta pay for it. How about a real remaster Capcom?

@2GDV January 31, 2025 - 2:17 pm

Does this port lets me play in a lower resolution if I want to? It has a CRT effect option?

@defpixel January 31, 2025 - 2:17 pm
