"If it be..." is not bad grammar. It is correct grammar (before 1900 or so) for stating a hypothesis or something to be assumed for the sake of the argument. It contrasts with "If it is" (question of fact) and "If it were" (supposition known to be false). English has lost the first of the three, but German still has it, with the verb "sei."

I am getting the vibe that this is really a staging for TV time of no real significance . If a seller like this has something rare why does he show up expecting the grand prize of money he wants ? Why did he not just go to that lady first and make a deal there instead of going to Pawn Stars ? Really ? This shows us it is a reality fiction show of keeping the ratings going plot .

Half of the show is sellers blinded by unrealistic expectations from a pawn shop.
Rebecca is beautifully grounded in reality. Her sense of value is inpeckable.

I love Rebecca, but she may have sold this book a tad short. That's Erik Dorr of the Gettysburg Museum of History. Erik knows his CW stuff - very well. He'll either get his price elsewhere, or sell to highest current offer, which appears to be $5K-6K. Got some free publicity for his museum with this appearance.
