I hated fighting the final boss with music notes and the camera just going nuts. I did not beat Drakengard 3 because of that
Genji 2 is of course famous for being based on actual Japanese history and battles that took place in Japan, such as that time when they fought the Giant Enemy Crab. Attack it's weak point for massive damage!
Great stuff. Love the PS3 library of games.
Drakengard 3 is insane, its so janky and it runs at single digit frames but when it clicks its one of the best games in the series
Tales of Xillia-2's combat system was so fun, it might be the second best in the series after Graces F, hope it gets remastered one of these days
Killzone 2 is overrated as f*ck and I played the hell out of that game back in the day. 😂
Holy shit Drakengaurd 3 runs horribly on PS3…Glad it runs at 60fps on PC via emulation. Happy to see how far RPCS3 has come
Minor point, but Drakengard 1 was a PS2 game that was released 10 years before Drakengard 3 and 3 years before the PS3 even existed. You may have confused drakengard with Nier (the first one, which did come out a few years prior but Nier was (technically) a direct sequel to Drakengard 2, specifically the bad ending from the game which hinted at the disease that is referenced in the Nier Story.

I always liked the 2nd Motorstorm the most. The first game had the "too much brown" issue for me that plagued many games of that generation. It wasn't until the later games that they rediscovered colour and that made a big difference to my enjoyment. And Tokyo Jungle is pretty much a definition of a cult classic Wasn't appreciated in its time but more and more ppl are rediscovering it now.

So so happy right now. I am a big Macross fan and didn't know about the marcross 30 game you mentioned. I immediately ordered and it gets her next month. Great show.
finished resistance 1 and 2 a short while ago and searching for third i was unpleasantly surprised that i cant find it on ps5, just the 2 games. Streaming but it was kinda great experience still. I hope theyll add the third game. I wont go and buy the game and ps3 jsut for that.

I tried Drakengard 3 and thought it was okay. I've considered giving it another go but I keep forgetting about it. I loved how much Zero cusses though lol! Genji I played a little bit of as well, though only because I was trying to find something to play on my PS3 lol! I kept making Yoshitsune do backflips so I could hear him go "Sei! Sei!" over and over. Tales of Xillia 2 was an interesting experience for me. When the English version was coming out I was feeling burnt out from Tales but then the game came out and the emotional story drew me in heavily. I also felt like the game was harder than I was expecting, but I got through it.
Tokyo Jungle was such a gem, too bad PlayStation don’t like doing games like this.
I wish that Macross game would have English translation. I guess i could try playing them with Sugoi Translator.
Killzone 2 & 3 need a Windows port asap
I have both Macross 30 and Initial D, they're fantastic.
One game I would love for you to talk about in a future PS3 video is modnation racers it’s a super underrated hidden gem on the PS3
I wish that Macross game had the english translation patch. Look phenomenal! My Japanese is only average, not macross level.

Man PS really would make a lot of $$$ if they only ported a lot of games from this era, like motorstom (with artic too), resistance trilogy and the killzone game, but they just port the most generic 3rd person action adventure game
with Tales of Graces F getting remastered port, I think Xillia could have a good chance getting ported too
I got a copy of Tales of Xillia 2 & was excited until the debt kicks in like my life is already hard muchless to play a game as soon as you get money the AI takes it away cause your owing on a bill smh. Drakengard 3 was an awesome game until i reach the ending but couldn't move forward because i was missing a sword with no idea where to find it sigh.
There's a patch fix for drakengard 3. It's for the PS3 emulator on PC. It allows you to play the game at 60fps. It's damn good
ok im gonna be that guy, most of the games on this list are great, but resistance 3 is such a fucking trainwreck of a narrative that it ABSOLUTELY shouldnt be on the list, no amount of gameplay can redeem that game period
Buying Drakengard 3 today is a crime. It used to got for less than 20 bucks, but then the Nier Replicant remake came out and it hiked the price of Drakengard 3 by nearly a hundred dollars. Now they're asking you 50-70 dollars for a used copy. It's insane.
