Great review and display of the super rare Dual Control Module.
Spy Hunter is a touchstone game from my childhood, and I seek it out on every platform I can get it on. Including the version of Spy Hunter from the Midway Arcade Classics collection for Palm OS by Pocket Express on my Handspring Visor back in 2001 (which also blows the NES version out of the water).
Spy Hunter for the Atari 2600 did exactly what that Atari console was best at, capturing the spirit of the game and bringing it home. Is it arcade perfect? Obviously not. but it captures the core elements in a way that satisfies the urge to play the game, at home, when you can't go to the arcade to play the real thing. Just like the best of the LED or LED games did. Plus, given the limitations of the console vs the arcade cabinet, it is something unique unto itself while capturing the essence of the original. Thus, accomplishing in a few kb of code what Spy Hunter on Xbox/PS2/Gamecube could not with exponentially more power at their disposal.
