Imagine this had 24+ PCIe lanes, and supported CXL so on business devices you got a bunch of PCIe lanes for high speed IO, but on gaming devices like this tablet or handhelds the manufacturer could dedicate 16PCIE lanes to an additional 128 bit wide memory bus, while still leaving enough lanes for 2 or more M.2 drives

I've watched this video probably for the third/fourth time and I'm glad I didn't "cheat" and jump to the end. The entire video was delivered superbly well and the finale "this thing is a giant monster and it'll eat your children" really sent me LOL. However, when I showed this to my wife, she did not exhibit the same response (and quickly eyeing defensively at our kids to check if they're still alive). 😂

Nice previw!

I love 2in1s, I adore powerful laptops that are also tablets, I deplore thin at the expense of performance.

This tablet/workstation is satisfying, it's everything I've been lobbying for, but, unless upgradable, I'm not down with 32 gigs ram on a cpu that supports over 100.

Also, I'm wondering if you can emulate android on that screen, that would b a vid people watch to see how it does, and how to do it

Asus makes some of the best tech, but most of the high end stuff is never in stock. I've been wanting a laptop released last year in June but again there's nothing available to purchase. Asus is crap for production.

Why is Asus announcing an iGPU with RTX 5090 and Thunderbolt 5, but only equipped the Z13 with TB4? I don’t get it.

it’s a cool tablet with a monster chip, but you will have to keep it plugged in to do most of anything cool with it. 
heck I keep the rog ally plugged in most of the time anyway (80% capped), because im tired of getting that notification that you have 6% battery left after only playing for a little bit.
This can still fit the needs for that college student thats needs to carry his workstation with him everywhere:p, but nah for me.  maybe next gen with RDNA4 APUs they can get some cool gpu performance under 15w.
I'm looking forward for this chip to come down in price and mini pcs to have it. I wont go into details (hint: proxmox), but as a mini pc it wouldnt worry about battery life and it would indeed be considered extremely efficient.

My Son has the first z13 flow. I9 12900H - 3050ti version. The 2023 model with 4060 still should have better 3d gaming performances than this I think. But battery wise and cpu power this is indeed a monster! Want it

Finally, everything from 8CU RDNA2 already and up was, at least for games, held back a lot by too low ram bandwidth in my opinion, and I was rooting for at least doubling the ram channels or support 8533mt/s mem, so I feel I'm on pr0nhub when I saw that and heard the specs !! I hope all those pro or plus or how do they called that series, and 380 model or 390, will be great for handhelds, or even this 395 with 8 cores parked and rather push pwr to GPU and IO chiplet and finally those 1200p oleds would make sense, rising details and running at 90fps stable on demanding AAA titles ... Totally possible now

This tablet already had RTX 4070 in it last year, so I see NO upgrade in performance to it this year in gaming performance… sigh…

The cooling vents look microscopic and the entire cooling design looks garbage. Expects lots of thermal throttling
