The gameplay itself makes it feel like im 20+ years younger and just started to play video games 😅
@alyctro8158 January 14, 2025 - 2:46 am
Man, devastation is such an underrated game.
@waschbaersmy January 14, 2025 - 2:46 am
UT 2003 had the best music and the coolest kill announcer 😎🤫❤️
@Chris-lc5gl January 14, 2025 - 2:46 am
And there is Tactical Ops Assault on Terror which startet as a mod for UT before getting an outstanding game. IMO the beste competitive shooter ever and way better than CS 1.6 back then
@cdeepmusic January 14, 2025 - 2:46 am
I'm just gonna say it - unreal 5 is not good

Where is game titles?
@vinniciusrosa8284 January 14, 2025 - 2:46 am
Unreal 2 was the best engine for development. Easy to create scenes and put the lighs and stuff. Not too much textures layers. The artists were more about to concentrate on the content than tech

Mexicans doing the deal huh?

I honestly wouldn't care if graphics just stopped evolving somewhere around 2005-2006. Graphics today might be breathtaking and almost photorealistic but you need a £2,500 (minimum) PC to be able to play them at 60+ fps, and even then they might be so poorly optimized that you can't get 60. In 2006 they looked GOOD ENOUGH, they still looked like a game, they still had a charm to them, and a £1,000 PC would play everything and last for like 8 years.

I kid you not, I played the Resident Evil 2 remake a couple of weeks ago (good game btw), then I bought the classic RE bundle on GoG, played the original Resident Evil 2 from 1998 and I'm like "...this looks better than the remake." Like, obviously the remake has better graphics, but the original has charm, character, and it looks GOOD ENOUGH.

@Balnazzardi January 14, 2025 - 2:46 am
And never played any of these games and Ive been gamer since 1996 😂 Well except for Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, but the superior Xbox 360 version and that used different engine. The only game from these that I would yet like to play is Brothers in Arms (all of the 3 games), but others I would have never had even slightest interest in

Unreal 2 (2003) big disappointment.
@axsprime January 14, 2025 - 2:46 am
Did not know that Republic Commando ran on UE2
@aphexGIBA January 14, 2025 - 2:46 am
One thing that struck me about this video was the leap forward between Unreal Tournament and Unreal Tournament 2003. I played the first one on the Dreamcast, and after years of hard work I managed to run the second one on a Pentium III using a GPU I borrowed from a friend. For me, it was one of the most beautiful games of that generation, a turning point. I remember it being a leap forward from Quake 3. Everything seemed new and very "rounded" and shiny. There was a particular spot on a map here at 0:52 where there was a pool of water that responded to your movements and those of the other players, creating small waves in real time... wow, that blew my mind.

I think I got tonal whiplash going from GRAW to THAT lol
@Deimos_Fresh January 14, 2025 - 2:46 am
I'm one of those invisible believers who believe that Unreal 3 will be made someday. I don't care about Half-Life.
@WindBendsSteel January 14, 2025 - 2:46 am

Epic after UE4: “Everyone will obviously have the entry level RTX 4080”
@silentdebugger January 14, 2025 - 2:46 am
Huh, didn't know GRAW used unreal engine....
@satnav1980 January 14, 2025 - 2:46 am
Back in the day when all you did was play games. I loved this era of gaming.
@ezg8448 January 14, 2025 - 2:46 am
Nice list! Only missing the original software rendered unreal engine.

I still remember the claim they would optimize the engine to run at 640 X 480 on a 486 eventually, obviously never happened.
@gorkemsenol4128 January 14, 2025 - 2:46 am
Swat 4?
@SuperDeluxe80 January 14, 2025 - 2:46 am
UT2004 best of all time.
@tjrizvi251 January 14, 2025 - 2:46 am
Wild to think that they used this engine for so long

Also i think its nice that the original video used obscure games. Everyone knows the games that run on UE2. Lets see the ones we didnt know
@DOLGgenerals January 14, 2025 - 2:46 am

@80n3y4rd January 14, 2025 - 2:46 am
UT 2003.... ffs I knew UT 2004 wasnt the game Id borrowed years ago. Something always seemed off about UT 2004 when I bough tit on PC DVD Rom, it was the wrong game lol. I miss UT2003! I think it had crossbows too or that was UTGOTY Edition?
Unreal Engine 2 and 3, and the Quake 3 Arena engine brought us the best games of all time. I bet the most modern COD games still have some QUAKE 3 engine code hiding somewhere in them.
@cuscuz.69420 January 14, 2025 - 2:46 am
where killing floor and postal 2
@Hadgerz January 14, 2025 - 2:46 am
I can't believe i didn't know republic commando was in UE2. What an absolute banger of an era for gaming that was
@inkspotdevil194 January 14, 2025 - 2:46 am
Honestly never knew Unreal Tournament was an Unreal engine game I figured it was just a coincidence
@Emulator_Crossing January 14, 2025 - 2:46 am
this and unreal 3 were truly legendery with some of the best games ever made on them.
@epicbacongaming2k117 January 14, 2025 - 2:46 am
>video of mostly shovelware games from the 2000's
>"what a thing of beauty no hd just pure art"
what the fuck is wrong with people
@Basserino84 January 14, 2025 - 2:46 am
No postal 2? Lol
@calebchambers377 January 14, 2025 - 2:46 am
A time when the console wasn't locked and you can change the field of view and weapon field of view easily
@jojotoofor9eight766 January 14, 2025 - 2:46 am
How did you miss Killing Floor and Postal 2 but you somehow inclide the most obscure games known to man?
@XMaximvsPayneX January 14, 2025 - 2:46 am
