Detroit Lions Just Got Great News… But It Comes At A Cost

Detroit Lions Just Got Great News, But It Comes At A Cost! The Lions are 15-2 and have earned the #1 seed for the NFC in the NFL Playoffs. However the injuries have taken a toll and winning almost always comes at a cost. This is why the price we have to pay is absolutely worth it.

I would like to see revised contracts for both assistant coaches with big resigning bonuses.
@GardenerKev January 14, 2025 - 10:14 pm
I completely agree with you!

No interviews until super bowl is done, then its wide open! Makes perfect sense, its clean, and levels the playing field!

Brilliant, my friend!

Enjoyed the video!

Blessings!

Someone needs to get a highway billboard to keep Speelman.
@k.w.5148 January 14, 2025 - 10:14 pm
Sheila may match the compensation offers and we will retain Ben and Aaron. Go Lions 🦁
@k.w.5148 January 14, 2025 - 10:14 pm
I’m not worried about the assistant’s. Brad n Dan have replacements in mind. They have a good eye for up and coming talent and personnel.
@mjerry3 January 14, 2025 - 10:14 pm
I just want to say great job on your content and the way you deliver facts without clickbait. You and Mike are the main two I look to for my Lions news. I'd hate to lose Ben more than Aaron. I worry if Chris spielman leaves that could interest Ben.
@ashtona January 14, 2025 - 10:14 pm
I hear what you’re saying about the coaching cycle timeline but if they did what you’re suggesting there would just be endless tampering IMO and not much would change
@ashtona January 14, 2025 - 10:14 pm
We’re for sure losing one or both. The trendy answer is that it would be tougher to lose AG. But when you look at how well everything is executed on offense, the attention to detail, the invocation with all the trick plays, hook n ladder, etc.. it’s hard not to think Ben is one of the best offensive minds in the NFL and it’ll suck to lose him
@joanneamalio5699 January 14, 2025 - 10:14 pm
I agree! Wait until the end of the season to be doing this! It is a distraction from the current season. Don't interview while we are preparing for the playoffs!
@leoobermyer3769 January 14, 2025 - 10:14 pm
AG would be a great fit as coach for the Saints! Ben Johnson would be awesome for the Patriots but I think he might stay. I hope we don't lose Chris Spielman out of the front office, he should tell them to choose his brother instead! .
@NotData January 14, 2025 - 10:14 pm
My hope is that everyone will want to stay until the Lions win a Superbowl. Then they will leave because their job is done.
@chetzmom65 January 14, 2025 - 10:14 pm
These coaches are concentrating on their NEXT Big Bank payday and NOT about winning 2 play off games and then the Super Bowl. This could easily be done AFTER the season is completely over. There is ZERO pertinent reason why interviews and New Job opportunities could NOT wait until after the season. This isn't about the Team or good football. This is about tearing apart the Detroit Lions BEFORE they accomplish their main goal. Period. Did Kansas City lose both their coordinators after they won the Super Bowl TWICE? Was everyone talking about where THEIRF staff had interviews with BEFOIRE they won the first Super Bowl? Any KC fans in here... please explain?
@chetzmom65 January 14, 2025 - 10:14 pm
My question is... Did this happen to Belichick when the Patriots started their Dynasty? How about Kansas City? Do they have all the same coaches for BOTH Super Bowl wins? Why is it the Detroit Lions - once we start to become a REAL threat, people are PICNICKING off the our Team like it's a corpse? We have NOT won a play off game this season... YET. It is NOT a given that the Lions will be in the Super Bowl. But everyone is SO excited to tear apart everything that has been built here. Apparently, they did NOT change the culture in Detroit. It's NOT about character and building a Detroit Dynasty, it's about getting PAID... making BANK... and screw Detroit and the Fans. NO ONE has given me a decent answer on this. It's just another example of Detroit getting ZERO RESPEC T. It's about making Bank and NOT the game, the city or the Fans. We are irrelevant as long as we spend MONEY on tickets and swag. It makes me furious. 💙💙🦁💙💙
@charbelmassoud9181 January 14, 2025 - 10:14 pm
I prayed for the Lions with fasting to win the Super Bowl. And now look at them. Jesus answers prayers and saves from hell, please repent.
@Jesus_Planted_LeAnne January 14, 2025 - 10:14 pm
Why can’t these interviews wait til we win the SB. These interested teams regular season is over. The priority is winning the SB…
@southerncalifornia970 January 14, 2025 - 10:14 pm
I'll take a Superbowl title in exchange for Ben and Aaron leaving
@Walt-j3x January 14, 2025 - 10:14 pm
REALLY I HOPE WE KEEP BOTH COACHES KEEP THE WHEEL ROLLING BRO
@automation427 January 14, 2025 - 10:14 pm
Hey, Lets worry about this year first. 3 games left.
@theartist8189 January 14, 2025 - 10:14 pm
Keep the offensive and defensive coordinators by any means necessary
@williambrown4471 January 14, 2025 - 10:14 pm
I predict that we'll lose both Ben & AG, but we'll miss AG more. Randle-El could conceivably slide into OC spot & not lose continuity. But idk who would step in for Glenn.
@TooMuchToSay-FollowJesus January 14, 2025 - 10:14 pm
I am most worried about losing Sheila Ford Hamp. She is the KEY person for this turn around to All-Time NFL Greatness.
Next would be MCDC.
Then ano of the three co-ordinators or Scottie Montgomery.
@Brunzy1970 January 14, 2025 - 10:14 pm
Hopefully Shelia will just pay these coaches what it takes to keep them on board. Why wouldn't she?
@keygrams6105 January 14, 2025 - 10:14 pm
He love it hear he just warming up hope he stay bring another successful season
@chrisyongchu January 14, 2025 - 10:14 pm
Why would we be scared to face any coach? Are we scared to face Andy Reid, John Harbaugh, Sean McDermott, Matt LaFleur, Kevin O'Connell, etc.? I'd really be happy that BJ got his HC opportunity, but to steer away or not want to face him, even in the division. The real question should be does he want to face Detroit twice a year. Sheila Hamp, Brad Holmes, and MCDC will find the next coordinator.

And who wouldn't want to come in and coach one of the best offensive lines in the league, including stars like St. Brown, Montgomery, Gibbs, Jameson Williams, LaPorta, Sewell, and Goff.
@CaptainSlappy99 January 14, 2025 - 10:14 pm
Next assistant up! One Pride! 🦁
@nateb7804 January 14, 2025 - 10:14 pm
The THING I'm most worried about losing is the SUPER BOWL.
Leave next years worries for June
@smo202 January 14, 2025 - 10:14 pm
I think we lose both coordinators AND Agnew. And I think losing Ben Johnson is going to hurt the most as he has this offense running well. Losing both Glenn and Agnew should give us two 3rd comp picks in the next two drafts so that would offset the losses a little bit. I don't understand why people want Johnson to be a head coach so much because...unless he is also the OC...his offensive genius will be greatly diminished and that is what makes him the shining star right now. I am not saying he won't be a good head coach, but the thing that makes him great is his play design and the play calling...both of which are not usually parts of the head coaching responsibilities.
@jamesalan1476 January 14, 2025 - 10:14 pm
NFL bent on diminishing great organizations to feed the laggards. Funny this started after the Lions got good. Is this the NFL sticking it to the Lions yet again? Get this team back under the doormat where it belongs???
@jamesalan1476 January 14, 2025 - 10:14 pm
No worries about losing coaching talent. All these guys train up their replacement, if for no other reason than for a family emergency or sickness. The Lions will be fine!
@AllanAlexander January 14, 2025 - 10:14 pm
Speiman ain't going anywhere
@Stribog09 January 14, 2025 - 10:14 pm
Nfl will make us play ben every year
@VoxVeritas1776 January 14, 2025 - 10:14 pm
Mark Brunell is assistant OC and QB coach if he’s not ready to be the next OC he never will be. We aren’t playing this week if our coaches are gonna interview this is the time.
@dewaynejones7347 January 14, 2025 - 10:14 pm
I, feel confident we won’t lose Ben, or Aaron, or front office Chris Spielman!
@YooperMAN11 January 14, 2025 - 10:14 pm
Interviews should only be done after the season is completed. It’s a total distraction for playoff teams and shouldn’t be allowed,..period! NFL needs to change this garbage. Coaches and staff need to focus on their current job and goals before all else.
@stonyonekenobi January 14, 2025 - 10:14 pm
We may not have enough activations to bring CD back.
@stonyonekenobi January 14, 2025 - 10:14 pm
What's up with Moseley? We didn't see him on the field on defense for even one play.
@stonyonekenobi January 14, 2025 - 10:14 pm
I'm very interested and maybe a little concerned about who the staff AG and BJ would put together.
@jschultz2363 January 14, 2025 - 10:14 pm
Good thing Amik is balling.
@hoyle038 January 14, 2025 - 10:14 pm
Actually I wish we could keep all the Couching and staff.
@hoyle038 January 14, 2025 - 10:14 pm
Keep Ben at any cost.
@manofgrapes January 14, 2025 - 10:14 pm
Absolutely can’t afford to lose Chris Speilman. He’s the genesis of the entire rebuild. From hiring Dan Campbell AND Brad Holmes. I would do anything to keep him as I think he’s irreplaceable
@ACHIEVEAGENCY January 14, 2025 - 10:14 pm
Man, delete your account you two idiots are less informed than any Detroit Lions site out there. Stop letting these idiots represent our fan base
@pc2950 January 14, 2025 - 10:14 pm
What the hell is this trash? Ben Johnson already said he wasnt talking to no teams during the off season.
@chrisamick6350 January 14, 2025 - 10:14 pm
I’m worried about losing anyone in the front office and or the coaching staff.
@ReelManiaVids January 14, 2025 - 10:14 pm
Just pay Ben Johnson. Do not let him leave
@morrisjarz January 14, 2025 - 10:14 pm
If Ben does leave, I think it's the Raiders. Then the Raiders can offer up a 5th round pick for Hooker and already have a guy who knows his system. With Bowers and Crosby, he's got his core to start off with
@morrisjarz January 14, 2025 - 10:14 pm
Ben Johnson is great and I feel like maybe he's smart enough to know he's already found his calling. Not every coordinator has the charisma or chops to lead an entire organization.
