2024 was admittedly a relatively slower year for gaming compared to the insanity of 2023, but looking back at the last 12 months, you’d have to be very, very jaded to not agree that there was a long and varied list of incredible new releases to check out, from the first month of the year to its very last.
From multiplayer bangers to single-player odysseys, from new and experimental ideas to stellar adaptations of established IP, from AAA megatons to new indies that took our collective breath away, this year delivered an impressive collection of games- and as ever, with a new year on our doorstep, right now, we’re pausing and looking back.

Both are worth it, though, both are great consoles, I just don't like the games on PlayStation over x box.
Xbox consoles will stay.
Luckily I’m covered. But it’s ironic the company who isn’t out of money.
Looks like I will be building my game library the same one.
As on Xbox but the different console. It’s even more ironic because this company who
isn’t out of money. Doesn’t care about its customers the gamers.
They are so rude disrespectful that they will disconnect your call.
To their support department or technical support or any of their departments.
This is the new reality.
Xbox consoles will stay but other things won’t I’m going to be.
Building the same library as Xbox on the ps5 pro it’s ironic.
I’ve been a loyal fan of Xbox since the very beginning. I still remember the moment I first held that original Xbox controller, my jaw dropping as I played Halo for the first time. It wasn’t just the graphics, the gameplay, or the system’s power—it was the vision. Xbox was bold. It wasn’t just another console; it was the spark of an American company standing tall, challenging the giants, and daring to reimagine what gaming could be.
But as the years have gone by, I’ve felt something fading. The power is still there, the technology is still groundbreaking, and Game Pass is unmatched in value—but where is the soul? Where is the leadership that once had the passion to go toe-to-toe with Sony and Nintendo, to fight for the hearts of gamers?
Xbox has always been about more than just raw power; it’s about creating a place for people who don’t want to build PCs or settle for PlayStation. It’s about creating a home for players who want to rally around something extraordinary—a platform with its own identity, its own must-have exclusives, its own legacy. Plus the simplicity of the OS.
We, as fans, are hungry for that identity again. Game Pass is incredible, but what good is it if the games we love end up on PlayStation? Why should we invest our time and loyalty in a platform that doesn’t feel like it’s fighting for us? We stood by your side during the red ring of death. We stood by your side during the Xbox one announcement … it is because of us the consumers that the brand is still here.
This isn’t about nationalism; it’s about pride in what Xbox represents. It’s about the history of an American company that had the courage to disrupt the industry and the potential to rise above its competitors by being different. But being different doesn’t mean diluting what makes Xbox special. It means leaning into your strengths—your unmatched hardware, your innovative services, and your potential to create the kind of exclusives that make players proud to say, “I’m an Xbox gamer.”
The foundation is here. The talent is here. The fanbase is here. All we ask is that Xbox remembers what it set out to be: a brand that inspires loyalty and pride, a brand that fights for its players and gives them something they can’t find anywhere else.
We don’t want another PC. And there’s nothing wrong with PC but it’s just the vast majority is not gonna spend their time figuring out which graphics card would be best for their PC while investing the time building one . People like simplicity and the Xbox supplies that power while being simple . We don’t want another PlayStation. We want Xbox to be Xbox—the brand that redefined gaming and can do so again.
Enough of this, Kumbaya, the identity lies with these exclusives mix with a power of the system that has been built on while elevating that experience on PC. Keep it on Xbox. Make it on Xbox. Branch it out on the PC.
Sincerely,
Your fan. A fan since day one.
So cheap, so useful.
Gamepass when we get bored with our purchased digital games and that's that!
The clear winner this year is "THE PC". I have owned every new console since I purchased my first PS1. This year I bought the Biggest PC I could and it was the best descision ever.
PlayStation 5 = Drake
Nuff said.
However Xbox is much better console,
Better built
Better quality
Better games
Better controller
Better user interface
Better performance
Better compatibility
Better backward compatibly
Better services
Better deals
Better value
Better features
Better graphics "although not by much"
Better design
Better durability
Literally Xbox is superior in every single category u care to mention,
I understand this topic usually approached by hardheaded fanboys who r emotionally invested in brands competition,
But the reality is Xbox is better than playstation regardless of how we feel,
Sony did everything it could to undermine Microsoft's attempt to dominate the gaming industry, as they should actually, and one can't argue they weren't successful,
More people r purchasing the vastly inferior product for the same price thanks to impressive marketing campaigns,
The result now is so many people r "resentful" towards Xbox and actually hate it, they get angry when hearing the word XBOX.
Sony really did a fantastic job at keeping its inferior product at the top of the sales chart.
It is no surprise that Sony is clinging to its exclusive at the cost of loosing revenue because they very well understand that most people r not brand trib idiots and just wanna enjoy gaming, not console wars.
Therefore anyone with half a brain would immediately choose Xbox.
The only reason one would have to endure a playstation is the "hostage" content Sony owns, much like Apple's Iphone in that regard.
As it stands now things doesn't look good for Sony as the woke culture r spreading and infecting beloved franchises causing them to fail one after the other,
Sony exclusive content is no longer attractive, the closed model is backfiring at Sony .
The 3rd person action adventure template Sony use with all its exclusive games to showcase impressive visuals is no longer working.
The concept of denying others playing highly anticipated games , while maybe temporarily lucrative, is hatful to the gaming industry at the long run..
There is literally not one single reason for anyone to choose a ps over Xbox other than exclusive content,
Not 1.
At the heart of it all i find it hard to believe enjoying a game is relative to the platform played on, which Xbox seems to understand fully and going full on "all games anywhere"..
Its hardly a surprise that wherever u look ull find playstation diehards miserable and engaging in console wars topics,
While at Xbox people r enjoying "gaming" .
