Wuthering Waves reviewed by Jess Reyes on PC, also available on iOS and Android.
Wuthering Waves’ combo-heavy action, quick movement, and enticing Echo collection enhance combat and exploration enough to let it respectably stand out from its competitors. The fights are polished and sophisticated, rewarding reactivity and optimal builds and teams. On top of that, the Echo equipment system ties your character progression into the environment in a way that encourages you to uncover every inch of the map, which can be satisfying despite the repetitive process of fighting overworld mobs. Unfortunately, the story is a bland, exposition-heavy slog, with dull writing and voice acting. So while the quests aren’t its main draw, Wuthering Waves is still worth looking into as a refreshing spin on the typical open-world gacha RPG.

Looking back to this review after PS5 release, the plus point in this game is actually the gameplay… i get it when the first time play it yesterday i like the battle system so much… this is what Genshin Impact should improve maybe when the story is finished later this year when Teyvat Map compete open 7 nation
I give this game a 10!
IGN should do a new review after al the updates now
Look at the bright side: It has no shitty coming out scenes, and you don't need to pull a Barve. 7/10.
My cup of tea. Buying.
Worst IGN review rating tbh
man your long drawn explanation about the long drawn exposition made me want to hit the skip button too…
4:15 tbh complaining about the voice acting makes no sense whatsoever in this day and age. With Chinese games like this there are always the original Chinese voices, a Japanese dub, a Korean dub and an English dub. If you don't like one there are more options and tbh English dubs are still mostly bad and either too monotone like this or too over the top, the old stigma has not be purged yet.
Considering how most of the time Korean and Japanese dubs of Chinese games are just fine, it's most likely that the directors struggle with English being a very different language with different tonality and rhythm so they try to can't tell how it sounds to native speakers.
Either way, calling the voice acting bad because of a dub being bad makes no sense, at the very least the Chinese original voices are great.
Bro gave a 9 on Genshin when it wasn't even as feature packed as Wuthering Wave is while reviewed… Hmmm
Nope

The game is trying to be different, and the reviewer is criticizing it for not having same mechanics as the other gacha games!! Will no longer watch IGN because of their biased mindset!

He is probably a white lib who Hates the game because of how women look in the game .
Genshin 2 Looks Great LOL😅
Dont review games anymore, find another job
Lol , seems like you only saw the first half an hour of the story and skipped every other scene, and based your judgement upon it. If you did play it, you would have said something when the game introduces Scar or amazing chapter 6. Please people, play the game yourself and judge. This poor fool did not say half of the stuff the game offers.
