Kinect : The fever dream of Xbox

To be fair, the Kinect was the only reason I ever bought an XBox and I never saw the ads. I played Dance Central and Kinect Adventures at a friend's house and decided it was worth buying an XBox to have those games and others like them. We bought many XBox games (30+) and an overwhelming majority (75%+) were either Kinect games or Guitar Hero.

I remember I bought the eye thing for the PlayStation 2 and used it never.

Claire was the best thing to come out of Xbox Kinect.

If you ever think Microsoft has actually contributed much to gaming just remember:

Studios, like Bungie, made the successful games like Halo, and games like it with more mainstream appeal that work for the living room, but pale in Gameplay Quality when compared to the top 90s Fps games regardless.

Mediocore games that play well in living rooms aside, the actual "contributions" by the Microsoft company were locked-down ecosystems with limited hardware.. and stuff like this.

The depiction at 0:38 of a guy using the Kinect to rotate a planetarium projection is especially silly because the one time I've seen a controller used in this context it was just a humble Wii remote
