The 33TF...IIRC...came about because of a fundamental misunderstanding on how the tech works. The Ponies were thinking that the chips were "dual channel" (if I recall the argument correctly) and that meant it allowed two instructions for the price of 1 therefore doubling the power.

16.7TFs thus became 33TFlops.

But the real world diesn't work like that

TFlops aren't meaningless, but we are at the stage where brute force isn't enough anymore. To get RT and 4k60 and all the bells and whistles, the toolkit also needs to be considered. Brute force using unoptimised TFlops is just much less efficient. A game properly optimised and making good use of a consoles built in toolkit can easily look better than a simplistic brute force approach that relies on the Pros extra TFlops.

Thats one reason why the Pro isn't worth it. You pay a lot of money for power that adds no benefit and PSSR tech that was released at least a year too early.

Devs would be better off optimising games and making use of the consoles existing toolkit.

Mark talking about the PS5 Pro was for shareholders so that they can see that Sony is making AI things and aren’t behind. You really think that presentation was for the mindless Ponies!? lol!

You think I’m making stuff up? PlayStation never commented that Pony statements were false because you guys promote their plastic box. You know who you have to be truthful and not lie to? Shareholders.

I didn’t know what a teraflop was until you dumbass Xbots made a big deal over it when the Series X released. All this is irrelevant because the Pro is running great regardless.

I do not understand Sony Fanboys when it comes to this Highlander mentality if you don't own a PC or a portable handheld PC there's no reason for you not to own all three versions of the cheapest gaming consoles Xbox series s switch lit PS5 all digital version.

PS5 pro is to the series x what it is to the PS5, 25% more powerful which is nigh meaningless. It's a bigger jump from the PS5 which was the weakest. Huge waste when a new console will drop in a year and a half.
