Damn, I thought my sound collection was complete, but Chromaphone is sounding tempting. First heard it on a tutorial of the producer breaking down the beat for L.A.X. "Body", once he started with that...it was like "beat is 75% done, it's a hit already", it's literally the simplest beat you could imagine (about 4 tracks lol), but sometimes less is more, especially when you start with a perfect sound

I like a lot of the plugins in Ableton, especially wavetable. Also I blew so much money on synth vsts (such as the Arturia suite), but yet my favorite is TAL-Mod, which I think os $50-$60. Haven’t used many romplers, but I’ve been looking for some orchestral stuff, will definitely check out Philharmonik

Scaler is the basis for everything I write these days. It allows me to explore progressions that I'd never be able to discover by just mucking around on the keyboard. You can link it to your favourite vst and use the sounds from there instead of its inboard sounds. The best non musically trained producers vst by a distance.
