The answer for Bass fishing may be no (a mostly catch and release fishery with a relatively hardy fish), but the answer for overall fishery is most definitely YES.
Especially for saltwater & pelagic/migratory species – finding fish on wrecks or knowing instantly via 3D real time that they aren’t there and being able to move on to another spot puts tremendous pressure on species that are kept by fisherman.
And even inshore for bay flounder its been noticeable – the people with the technology find the new holes as sands have shifted and clean up early in the season. Leaving a highly reduced # of keeper fish available to the ‘original’ type fisherman on the water.
I do not disagree w you for bass fishing, but the damage that to other fisheries is too great in my opinion.
I live on a canal that goes out to the river and am dealing the coming “tournament season”
These guys fish our neighborhood standing on the bow glued to their flat screens pitching baits right on top of the fish’s exact location. Hell it even tells you what species is is!!!
Let all the tourney guys go out in a Jon boat with a 9.9 and a front hand trolling motor and 3 rods. Then let’s see who can fish.
I like technology but don't want to depend on it too much. I like challenging myself.
Might have to get one because I’m a very forgetful person😂just click and done thats just plain genius
Thank you for sending me this link tyler! I thought it was a line cutter oe leader or something!😂 sorry for commenting so much I just am a very curious person and like to learn everything I can about fishing because it’s my favorite thing to do other than read my Bible and praise the Lord and spend time with my family😂
I am a bass originalist because i target bass and like the rush of catching bass but i also appreciate a bluegill on the end of the line every now and then, i like technilogy to a certain degree, i like the fact that they made baitcasters for certain lures but i do not like fish finders to much i like using my knowledge from experience and mistakes, i like kayaks and jon boats because tgey are rugged and are easy to maintain and fun to drive and fish on but bass boats take up to much time ( in my opinion) to maintain whereas with a jon boat or kayak i can spend more time on school famy or fishing rather than fixing taking my bass boat to the shop over a scratch😂I like the new Lures unless its electric or moves without me working, so i describe myself as a working fisherman
Wow that is pretty cool. I’ve picked up fishing for just a few years now so I’m still learning what I can to help improve my game. Just purchased a frog combo lews super duty g reel with the lews tp1 black 7’4” heavy fast action rod that I’m trying out first thing in the morning. My pb is 8.5 so far really wanting to see a double this year. Thank you for the fast response time and I look forward to watching more or you videos
Not trying to blow up your comments but where would you get the button because I’m very interested
What would be your best budget fish finder and trolling motor?
videos are killer. thanks
Of all the pieces of technological flair, which is the most important to you?
Bass forecast sounds pretty legit.
With a blue moon this upcoming Halloween, what are your thoughts on full moon night fishing?
Can you do vid on what poles to throw with what Lewers
Still got to know how to use it to be efficient.
Next step is having a lure that swim into a bass mouth. That would be too far. lol.
what size spinning reel should I use?
I'm curious about the connect scale app tournament. How does that work because here in the Northeast the bass are not as big as say a bass would be in the South. For example 5 lb here in Pennsylvania is a pretty respectable fish. In Florida there's like 10 pounders everywhere. So what are the chances of a guy in the Northeast region to win a tournament to a guy that's down south. It's definitely a really cool idea and I do plan on participating sometime soon. Definitely going to look more into to scale.
Got a question for you, does the connect app work great in areas with bad service? I fish a ton of small places in the middle of nowhere and 90% of the time I have no service! Really interested in it so please get back with me
Funny thing on that connect scale – the polarized readout is 90 degrees to a standard pair of polarized sunglasses. You know what happens when you turn 2 polarized filters 90 degrees to each other? You see nothing. Amazing…. SMFH
I’m on my fourth warranty replacement since buying the original connectscale several years back. At least they warranty this stuff. They said there is nothing they can do about the latest version they just released that can’t be read with polarized glasses on. And my sunglasses are prescription so can’t read the scale with or without my glasses on.
Thanks for the overview. Signed up for Anglr and BassForecast. I didnt see how or where to get the button on your hat.
So if you could only choose one of those items, which one would you choose? More specifically if you primarily bank fished…
I’m not a big fan of bassforcast the time that it says to fish just slowly moves forward every day. For example it says fish at 1:00, then the next day 2:00, then the next 3:00 etc etc
I use bassforcast everytime i go out aswell.. helps a lot
I agree with ya Tyler, I have a certain amount of time for my passion “fishing” so anything that can help improve my fishing experience I’m down with ya Tyler #heckno
I understand you have to promote your sponsors but… Why you gotta make an 11 minute ad man. You’re better than that. I was excited to watch this video and the intro was great, but you didn’t even get into the things that people wanted to hear about. These apps and gimmicks won’t win you a tournament. The live scopes and mega 360’s and ultrex’s are what win tournaments. That’s what we wanted to hear.
I’m an originalist but I am not opposed to technology. I use some fishing weather apps. I still hand write my logs. I am interested in that Anglr Bullseye though. Gonna put it on my wishlist.
Wow this video was great! Random question I heard somewhere that you can't use a leader with microwave guides and I'm going to get the tp1 black stick and all I use is braid to a leader. Is this true or not.
Just signed up for premium bass forecast w/o any hesitation!
Here’s my question to you. Can you do a tutorial on setting up bait caster brakes an spool settings please?
Bought the Anglr button downloaded the app.and it never worked once. Contacted the co. they had me gather up a bunch of info and then they never got back with me.
this whole video feels like a sales pitch
How do I get the clicker for the app have the app but don’t see where the clicker
Where do we find the baits thay will bite on on bass forecast
So how does it knowv the water temp and current and all of that stuff
Jacob Wheeler doesnt use this
Hahaha love ya Tyler again. Love da vids
lets not forget the reels that have a spool computer controlled have changed the game more than anything.
Where can I get the bullseye thing does the app require money?
Great video…..very well presented…..thanks again Tyler…!!!!!
Your intro was like a intro that you would see as a intro to a new sermon series at church. If you know what I mean
Do you also upload saltwater fishing?
To me, yes. But I'm a simple guy. No tournament fishing, I fish on my days off. I cast to structure, and I do pretty well with basic electronics in my drivers console. I do have a depth finder in the bow…on the trolling motor, but I can't say I've ever caught a fish because of it. It came with my 1988 bass boat I got last year. 4 decades of fishing from canoes and kayaks and jon boats… I just read the water and make adjustments.
Can you help get Bass Forecast available in Canada???
Far but at same time wayy better lol
