I bought about 400 games, digitally, on Xbox one. After switching to pc, only about 20 games were eligible for ‘play anywhere’. So, bye bye, 380 games. I am not interested in paying $25 a month to ‘stream’ them to my pc or Lenovo legion go. So, ‘play anywhere’ is only good for buying newer games or if you plan on keeping a subscription, forever…

how delusional must Destin be to cope and lie about "every platform being down" THEN proceeds to read data PS5 hardware 15% up YoY while Xbox hardware continues to be down 29% (despite the gamepass lineup of CoD, Stalker 2, indiana jones) lol. Nobody wants an Xbox anymore, and PS5 is still growing even after having a record year in 2023.

I’m happy with Game pass. If we could have steam on Xbox this would be a game changer. Also Xbox games on PS5 makes sense from a business perspective. More money to make new games. Everybody’s a winner.

Xbox needs to copy what it did with the 360. Make exclusive games just for xbox console not for pc at least some. Get rid of any woke games that is killing the whole industry.

The fear is that Microsoft is chasing short term gain and long term killing the Xbox brand. Quite frankly I don't see it happening any other way.

I’m already playing their games wherever I want. I’m playing the same games (with the same game saves) on my PC, my phone, and the Xbox in my bedroom. I’ve even played some cloud games, which wasn’t bad at all.

The only thing you’re losing is the ability to look at a game and say for sure it will never go on PlayStation. I’m not even going to say what I think about that. Lol

But I’m here for the salt that will surely show itself. 😂

The next Xbox, should allow for a windows install on your drive if you so choose. Lets face it, its a powerful little pc now more or less. Uses the same technologies and hardware that PC's are using more or less. If Microsoft made that happen, then people who want a console and a pc. Will obviously go with the one that does both. I know its wishful thinking.

Over saturation of the same old games, everyone's burnt out on sonys big series. There all the same games just with a 2 or 3 after it.

Why would anyone have faith that Xbox will pull off something special anymore? Lets talk about this “Everything is an Xbox” campaign. This is nearly the same set of promises with “Play Anywhere” games when they launched ReCore in 2016. It’s been 8 years and the Play Anywhere initiative has not amounted to much. Certainly not their entire library, and what it means is inconsistent across supported games.

They also have their atrocious suite of Xbox apps that don’t function as well as their Steam or PlayStation counterparts. Like seriously, they just need to copy their competitors homework to make their app halfway decent and they cannot manage it? It’s nearly the same these last 4 years or more.

Xbox has shown that they are good at pitching an idea and setting lofty goals. They are terrible at execution, consistency, messaging and steady improvements.

To have any faith that Xbox will turn things around for their handheld or next-gen console cycle is foolhardy. They will probably be more like Sega in 10 years, delivering games from their Xbox Studio acquisitions across many platforms and stubbornly sticking to Gamepass and cloud gaming in an attempt to be “Netflix”.
